Default Big Daddy Dan in Hiding

BIG DADDY IS IN HIDING

A league source tells us that defensive tackle Dan Wilkinson, who was recently traded from the Fins to the Broncos, is not answering his phone and can't be reached by either team.

Per the source, if Wilkinson doesn't take a physical by Friday, March 16, the deal will be voided.

The thinking in some league circles is that, although Wilkinson says he plans to retire, he wants to be able to play in 2007 without having to participate in an offseason program. Some believe that, if the Broncos or the Dolphins were to tell Wilkinson that he doesn't have to show up for offseason workouts, Wilkinson would relent.

what do you guys think about this? I say sign Boone or Scott and get the 6th back if he doesn't want to work out and come to the program.

Forget about him. If he doesn't play with fire, I wouldn't want him on the team.

It's a 6th, but even so I'm willing to chip in to send him on another cruise.

If the Broncos or Dolphins want to find him, I suggest combing the Popeye's Chicken franchises.

He's a POS.....I would rather draft a big ol' fatty with the pick then spent it on him. He pulls this crap every year.

Keep the sixth rounder and use it to draft another tub of goo.

For a late 6th rounder he'd be pretty good at plugging gaps on first and second down. You can't let a guy his size not show up for camp though, he'll come in completely out of shape and unable to play more than a dozen snaps a game.

No thanks, take the pick back and sign Ian Scott.

They'd need to sign at least 2 experienced DT's. There's no way were going into training camp with only 2 DT's who've played a down in this league.

Dorsett Davis was one of the last cuts in camp last year. Give him another shot.

At 34 years old, I wouldn't be excited about another offseason conditioning program, especially for a guy his size.

Get the guy on the phone, have him take the physical and give him a pass until training camp. For someone who will only play a small portions of the snaps, TC should be enough to get him in shape.

Yeah...that sends a great message to the rest of the team that's sweating to get in shape so we can win a title. This fat lazy slob needs the off season conditioning more than anybody on the team, so sure...give him a free pass. I can't imagine why anyone would want a guy with this kind of attitude.

Gimme a break.

I'm of the opinion that most of these players keep themselves in good enough shape on their own that they should not need offseason conditioning. You also have to remember that these older veterans, especially the fatasses like Wilkinson, have been getting their bodies beat on for years and this **** isn't easy for them.

It's no big deal one way or another. If he won't drag his fat ass in to work out **** him. We could just work him once a day I suppose, but if he doesn't show before the draft then see ya IMO. He would just be a stopgap plugger.

Denver had 100% attendance Off Season workouts last year or 98% can't rmember. Remember Gilbert in the SB? We don't need a DT that can't get up off the field he's so out of shape.

I'd tell tubby he can skip the off-season workouts.

Then sign Boone or any other fatties out their in the market.

Draft a fatty.

Then come camp let the best fatty win!
