I started a new thread not because it stated what it seems we already knew, but because of another Broncos player that is mentioned in the trade rumors.

I really am getting uneasy with all this talk of Shopping Al Wilson. He is the heart of the defense and I am sure all this talk will not sit well with him.

He used to the be the Caps' beat writer. I wasn't too impressed with him as someone who didn't live there, I know the locals thought he was lazy and didn't really do ****.

Heard on another board that NO offered us a fourth, but we said no. Apparently they are going to offer their second. If that is true, then see ya later Bly.

i think we are going to work out a deal to keep bly..denver wouldn't have traded two former starters for a guy they don't want to keep around. bly is going to be a bronco next year.

@ Socal.I'm not opposed to dealing Bly for a good draft pick, and I'm not opposed to dealing Wilson either. While he is a fan favorite, the fact is that Wilson is getting old and his shoulders are shot. Plus the coaches were not happy with the LB play last year in particular WIlson and Gold. I doubt there is a market for Gold (damn it), but there is obviously one for Wilson. If we can get a good pick for Wilson I wouldn't mind moving him. Plus, and Slap will love this, the Broncos are apparently enamoured with Patrick Willis, and I can easily see us moving around to get him and get a d-line as well (which will be really easy if we get a second for Bly and something else for Wilson). |

Pretty funny how quickly the luster is wearing off of Bly around here. Absolutely no surprise to me. He's always been a me-guy with an over-inflated sense of self worth. He can play a little... but isn't worth the trouble.
Here are a few pulls from a Lion's blog when I googled Bly's name... Good riddance to Bly. He was a cancer in Detroit....ask JH. His attitude and mouth surpassed any remaining talent he had and it's best for both parties that he move on. Dre wants to be traded, that's rich. If he could cover a reciever half as good as he runs his mouth he still would only be twenty five percent as good as he thinks he is. He's old, past his prime, and quickly losing not only his first but possibly his second step, give us a third round pick and some Excedrin migraine for the headache. Now, it's only a couple of people... but when fans throw around words like "cancer" about their own players, there might be a little something to it. Ship his ass out of Denver. **** 'em. |

No I don't think he will be here. Especially with what Wabbit said about him popping off about not wanting to play here at all. Great Poetic justice would be to ship him off to New Orleans. He is just that much further away from his payday in Washington.

The key word being "former"...Georgina was going to get cut or dumped for a late round pick anyway, and Bell got replaced without giving up a pick. I wouldn't mind seeing Bly leveraged for a move to #6 at all but there's no way the same guy who orechestrated such a brilliant move up in last year's draft to get Cutler will give the Skins Wilson, and our top 3 picks, or even Bly and our top 3 picks to do it. IF a trade was discussed earlier it was probably with the idea of us getting AD in the process...a move I can't see now that Henry's here.

As for the trade discussed in the initial post in this thread, does that Washington writer think that Dan Snyder runs the Broncos or something? Sorry, but they can keep the 6th overall pick if they think it's worth #21, a 2nd & 3rd and Al Wilson. That's just insane.
If New Orleans offers a 2nd rounder for Bly, take it and run. |

Me too, seriously SoCal and I are talking draft on AIM right now and I'm pretty sure I've changed my pants 9 times right now.
I'll get on cam and do a Jets kid video with it too and talk about the possibilities. I have my big Broncos flag behind me. let's do this! |

So that would be Foster, Bell, and a 5th for a late 2nd, (no. 58) and an early 6th. Ehh.

No I'm serious. You don't even know how good it would be if we got a second-rounder, hell even 3rd rounder for Bly.
**** him. I wasn't ever big on him anyways. #21 #56 #58 (for bly) #70 #86 Keep the first four selection and trade #86 to San Francisco for a couple of their fourths and have a decent day two as well. Couldn't hurt. Seriously, **** Dre Bly. You know what? Seriously. The possibilities are endless. |

Dre Bly and the rights to Patrick Ewing for Sean Taylor and the Redskins 2008 first-rounder.
