ESPN's John Clayton speculates that this may be an indication of Denver's willingness to deal the reportedly disgruntled Dre' Bly. Still, it seems very unlikely that Macklin would ever start for the Broncos.

This Bly thing is starting to get on my nerves. If it's true, why in the name of sanity didn't we check to see if this guy wanted to play here? If it's not true, why doesn't Bly come out and say so? This has the potential to be a distraction and a major screw up. I hope we didn't crap away the Tatum Bell trade bait for nothing and wind up with some 2nd tier CB coming here just to save face. If we're going to trade this guy let's use him as leverage to move up into the top 10 of the first round or something.

I really think that we have some pull here, If the skins want him and they do, then we could get a very good deal out of this. The thing we have to remeber is that it wasn't just bly that we got, we have to cover our trade value in Foster and Bell. I think Shanny has got something up his sleeve on this one. I'm no Denver area sports journalist, but I'm thinking maybe if I contact Bly and/or his agent directly there might be a decent article in it. Is that too much to ask

Macklin wouldn't start over Foxworth. I believe I read the Broncos were waiting to sign an extension with Bly until they were done making other moves, so while the east media wants everyone to believe everybody wants to play for the Skins, maybe Bly just needs to be patient is all.

I think it shows that we might be willing to trade Foxworth more than it shows how we might be willing to trade Bly.

absolutely not...foxworth is a true asset to our secondary, talented, smart, and happy to be in denver. dre is only one of those three, get his greedy-dumbass outta denver. maybe include archuleta if its a deal with the 'skins...he doesnt hold much value to them
