It's a shame that people can't seem to accept a guy who doesn't try to stand out with anything other than his play. Instead they just call him boring. This situation isn't unique to Duncan, Joe Sakic gets the same treatment from the media. Hell, they call him "Quoteless Joe." When all is said and done, Duncan will be one of the top ten players to ever step on a basketball court. |

I think the best players post MJ have been Shaq and TD.
I'm a Spurs fan but I would give the slight edge to Shaq because he was dominant during his prime. Yeah, it's a shame TD still doesn't get the recognition he deserves but he likes it that way. |

I love how when we're talking all-star rosters, Josh Howard and Jason Terry are complete badasses according to Llama, but when we talk MVP neither of them are on the level of Lamar Odom.

Josh is an all-star type player as well, but he doesnt have near the gifts that Odom is blessed with. Josh is an overachiever. Lamar is biding his time until the Lakers really have a shot before he risks his health, IMO. |

Would the unanimous MVP miss a FT to seal the game while his competition scores 10 in 50 secs?
Let me add in the Second OT got a loss of cool T and missed game winner. Dirk chokes again just like it was the finals last year. Mavs are best team in the NBA although. Last edited by azbroncfan; 03-15-2007 at 12:18 AM.. |

Nash had to pull his punk card. Sometimes friends have to do it.

It could go to Nash or Dirk. Either one and I wouldn't care either way. Kobe is good but let's not forget, his 3 rings came with arguably the most dominating big man the game has ever seen on his side. No Shaq, where the hell have Kobe and the Lakers been? Off the map.
It's kinda funny how Nash is not known for his defense but it was his defense that slapped the Mavs in the mouth last night. Steeling that ball from Terry. Man was that a game. That loss, along with getting punked by Golden State before that should shut the lama up for a little bit. Maybe not, he probably will comeback and say how it won't ever happen again. What you need to do lama is recognize. Just like in the Finals last year, any of the top teams can win any given night so lets knock the Mavs down off that high horse until they prove they can win it all. I know this, if the Mavs thought they were in the Suns' heads, they thought wrong. Cuban can go chew on that for awhile. I love it. Last edited by ZONA; 03-15-2007 at 12:58 PM.. |

......but it was his defense that (and this is the best part) slapped the Mavs in the mouth last night. Yeah - it rolls off the tounge so nicely and has a sweet sound to it yes? Say it with me..........slapped the Mavs in the mouth. Whoa. It felt even better saying it yet again. Slapped the Mavs in the mouth......OK, I'm good. Last edited by ZONA; 03-15-2007 at 06:35 PM.. |

.......and what's up the ass of the little general? I think it was Diop (or however you spell it) diving for a lose ball on the ground, bustin his butt and the Suns got the ball from him and he's running back to defend and the little butthole is just scouling and cursing at his player. Gimme a break. I could see it if a guy was slackin off or something but when a 7 footer is diving on the floor to try and make a play, get over it little man.

Dirk is a stupid Euro trash craphole. Nash is a ****ing Canadian. Its all about T-Mac. Best player in the league even with back spasms. [/end homer mode] |

T-Mac is not even the best swing man in the league (see Kobe, LaBron, Carter) so how can he be the best player in the league? He's in that REALLY GOOD tier but not GREAT. He's got the talent, just too inconsistant and injured. While we on the subject of B-ball. Durant is maybe the best player in college I have seen in 3 or 4 years. He's gonna fit right into the NBA fast. |
