Default Maybe some decision and sighings today?

While talking money with Henry, the Broncos were waiting to hear from the agents of Atlanta defensive end Patrick Kerney and New England tight end Daniel Graham. Kerney and Graham, a former Colorado All- American, ended their Denver visits Saturday and were in Seattle on Sunday night. Graham visited Oakland between trips to Denver and Seattle.

Kerney is discussing deals with Denver and Seattle and might decide today. Graham's decision also could come today, with the Broncos or Seahawks his likely new team. Graham, a Thomas Jefferson High School graduate, is said to want to play for the Broncos.

Seattle is believed to be offering Kerney and Graham more than Denver and was pushing to get a deal done with Kerney on Sunday.

Broncos safety John Lynch helped his team entertain Kerney and veteran quarterback Brad Johnson over the weekend. Johnson, who would be Jay Cutler's backup if he signed with the Broncos, left Sunday night to visit the Dallas Cowboys. His decision could come today.

Johnson, 38, has spent all of his 13 seasons playing for NFC teams and is close with new Dallas offensive coordinator Jason Garrett. But Johnson's friendship with Lynch is in Denver's favor. They were road roommates while with Tampa Bay.

"Brad is certainly serious about Denver," Lynch said. "Brad sees Denver as an interesting possibility."

Trying to secure Cutler's backup, the Broncos have a visit set for today with Cincinnati backup Anthony Wright.

i thought this was funny and relevent.....

Not to suggest the Broncos are desperately searching for stars, but the only man in America who has recently listened to more talent auditions than coach Mike Shanahan is Simon Cowell.
Denver has become the headquarters of extreme makeover, NFL edition. To be honest with you, I didn't know Shanahan had enough money under the salary cap to buy running back Travis Henry, defensive end Patrick Kerney and tight end Daniel Graham steak dinners, let alone offer them contracts as free agents.

Haha, that was really bad.

Hopefully something gets done today.

It looks like they want both players, but in the pursuit for both may get neither. I say step up the offer to whoever is THE #1 target, or else increase the offers to both and sign whoever comes to terms first.

I love Williamson's great writing. Kerney might decide today, Graham's decision could also come today, His(Brad Johnson) decision could come today. That's some good hard stuff from Bill.

Hopefully something gets done today with these guys. I have a feeling that Kerney will play in Seattle, Graham and Brad Johnson to Denver

In all fairness, we have been chasing ghost fleas as well, but we don't have access...don't expect that Pig to have anything...he can barely report statistics.

The stone cold fact is, like always it seems, Denver can't break the bank reaching for some fancy name. I want Graham not because he's a dominant TE, but because he might keep Jay's head from becoming a hollow pumpkin.

We also need some RB's.

From my perspective (living here in the Seattle area), the Seahawks first priority is to sign Graham to solve their TE needs. The Seahwaks have allowed their current TE - Jeremy Stevens - go unsigned and have a huge hole if they do not sign Graham.

.......... Disappointed, but forced to be undaunted, the Seahawks forged ahead on what was a wild first weekend of the NFL's free-agent signing period.

Patrick Kerney, a defensive end from Atlanta, arrived Saturday night and visited Sunday -- after making his first stop in Denver. Daniel Graham, a tight end from New England, is scheduled in today -- after making stops in Denver on Friday and Oakland on Sunday.

The Broncos tried to sign both, but Kerney wanted to check out the Seahawks, and Graham was committed to completing his trio of visits. Graham could sign a contract with one of the teams as early as tonight, his agent said.

Deon Grant, a free safety from Jacksonville, also is expected to visit the Seahawks this week.
