Default Garcia Signs in TB, Plummer deal officially DEAD!

Jeff Garcia has signed in TB so everyone can quit analyzing the proposed trade to TB. It's over.

Good job on Tampas part... Very quick reaction to Jakes "retirement". Any guesses as to how quickly he un-retires?

This is going to get very, very interVesting...

Especially if the "trade" had been developing over the last couple of months...

A big F U to Jake. I hope Shanahan drags your career from his car.

Poor Jake. Afraid of a little competition.

Blunder better stay retired. Hopefully, the FO will recoup the majority of Blunder's signing bonus immediatly.

Tampa is not holding back with that cap space so far. I am a little surprised they did not pursue Kerney though. They might be invested in a trade scenario for their aging DL instead I guess.

BTW- I think either Garcia or Jake would do fine under Gruden. Probably the two best candidates for what Gruden wants in a QB.

Doubt it. There are no more suitors for Blunder now. The Texans will just wait till he is inevitably released and sign him.

Plummer's career is over. He ends it afraid of competition!! How sad for him really I'm sure in a few years he will look back and regret not giving it his best at the end. People always regret being a quiter.

you people are hilarious, Jake has every right in the world to choose where he wants to go, or go anywhere at all. He's a goddamn human being, not just some piece of property.

The fact that the Broncos management didn't weigh this in their decision making AGAIN should be the telling piece not that Jake doesn't drop his pants on command.

Let's see...Bubby was bad. Frerotte was bad. Griese was bad. Every year the Broncos try to find a Quarterback to ascent to the throne that Elway built.

O.K.

When are we going to get the top three Offensive Line, a Pro bowl Tight End whose in the Hall of fame and (1) impact running back? Hello?

Cutler is a second year QB and is going to make mistakes. I'm hoping the Broncos do something about the offensive line besides just dumping Foster.

I know. I know. It's still early.

Majority of buc fans on their boeard are unhappy with the garcia signing. They wanted Plummer more than Garcia.

No he doesn't. His a** belongs to the Broncos. His rights were just traded to the Bucs now so play there or enjoy the retirement.

If I'm not mistaken, Shanahan and Gruden conspired to stick it to Jake in the end. Jake is now property of the Tampa Bay Bucs for a conditional pick. If he wants to play, he'll be competing with Jeff Garcia and Chris Simms for a job.

What a jacked up way to end a 10 year career. Tossed out of the moving bus like so much trash on the highway. It's a bad joke....

Brian Griese, Jake Plummer and Bubby Brister were in a bar in Denver when in walks a Rabbi, a nun and a lawyer.

QB shuffle: Bucs sign Garcia, complete Plummer trade

TAMPA (AP) — The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed free-agent quarterback Jeff Garcia on Saturday and obtained the rights to Jake Plummer from Denver, adding two quarterbacks to compete with Chris Simms next season.
Plummer, who reportedly was thinking of retiring if he was traded, was sent to the Buccaneers for a conditional 2008 draft choice, the Broncos said.
The 37-year-old Garcia, who last year led Philadelphia to the playoffs filling in for the injured Donovan McNabb, agreed to terms a day after talking with the Oakland Raiders. The signing was reported on the Bucs' website.
Simms, who missed the final 13 games of last season with a ruptured spleen, is the incumbent.
