I'll bet that Washington gets him. They're more frivelous with draft picks than any other team in the league, they'll gladly overpay.

Mr. Negativity huh Im gonna hold out hopes, who shouldnt want to play opposite of Champ Bailey on a winning team? But as a New orleans fan also my only hope is he doesnt end up in Washington.

They dont have a 3rd rd pick CO. they've only got 1st and 5th rounders unless players are involved or it's a 2008 draft pick.

Good point! puts us in a better situation since we have that extra third round draft pick.

now thinking of it i really feel we have the inside track here. We have the extra draft picks. Washington is pretty sparse on their draft picks and new orleans drafts higher then us. If they are looking for draft picks, unless someone is gonna really overpay(washington) then i think theres a pretty good chance he'll end up here.

The Lions need a running back and we've the best one out of the 3 teams that's available. Skins wont trade Betts or Portis, Saints wont trade McAllister or Bush.

Washington would seem to be out of it unless they have a player they are willing to get rid of who Detroit wants. Then again, they could totally lose their minds and trade their 1st.

The only way N.O. can trump us is if they step up the offer to their 2nd rounder. Our 2nd is higher, but I wouldn't expect us to offer that much.

My guess (and hope) is that he'll be a Bronco. Then sign Graham, I'll be more than happy to pack up and concentrate on the draft.

I wouldn't be so sure about not trading Portis. The Skins really like Betts, and Portis isn't really Gibbs style of runner. Portis and 4 would get the Skins there boy

I'd hate to get him at the expense of, say, Daniel Graham - or someone like Kerney (or any pass rusher). I guess it depends on how much we are able to clear under the cap, and we always seem to make it all work out. $4 million is going to go pretty quick with stuff like a trade for Bly, signing draft picks, etc.

There's no way the Skins would trade Portis and a pick for Bly. it would be the other way around. Clinton would have at least 2nd rd value. He's still one of the top 5-10 running backs in this league.

We have this years 3 and next years 4 from Wash. We haven't raped Snyder for what...almost a year? The way I see it, Wash would like to get their picks back, I wouldn't mind giving them those picks back for Bly in some kinky Menaje de troi. Tater isn't going to Wash, but then again, who knows. They took one up the dumpster with Duckett.

It's funny, because both Duckett and Lelie are UFA's I believe.

I'll be pissed if we break the bank for Dre Bly and then can't afford Graham.

And I think everyone on this board had a consensus that our defensive woes weren't due to the secondary, it's because we got no pressure on the QB. Let's just get Graham in FA and then go D-line on first day of the draft.

i watched almost every game detroit had this year because of fantasy(kevin jones, kitna, roy williams) and I seriously don't remember anybody throwing away from that dude. i don't even remember them calling his name out. and its not like detroit didnt give up points. he's no better than smoot. both are overrated.

I agree. He's only worth either the pick or Bell on his own. I'll be really f***ing pissed off if we give up either of 2 players who have decent value on the market (Bell/Foster) plus a 3rd rounder.

They've shown time and again that they're willing to toss away future draft picks just as easily as current draft picks. If Snyder really wants him, he'll grossly overpay for him, he's got a long track record of doing so.

It's not that I don't want Bly here, it's that I don't want the Broncos to have to one up some ridiculous offer from Washington to get him.

Exactly. Bly would make the team. Probably be an asset. But not worth giving up our starting tailback and a 3rd. I would never do that trade. And there is no way that in 3 years that it would look like we came out def. ahead.

It'd be hard for them to do. Even a 2nd in 2008 probably wouldn't be as attractive to Detroit than getting the immediate 3rd.
