Default Miami TE runs 4.5

A league source with a team that has been eyeing Miami tight end Greg Olsen is convinced based on his performance at the combine on Saturday that he'll be selected among the top fifteen picks.

"When a tight end can run like that," said the source, "he goes high."

Olsen currently isn't in our mock draft. He'll definitely be there next time around, possibly to the Panthers at No. 14.

I guess any position we aren't looking to draft that moves in front of our pick is good. Pushes more dlineman down to Broncos.

Lets hope more players do what Olsen did and squeez into the 1st round.

I suspect more players will have similar rises. There are always a couple guys that rocket up the board in the month before the draft.

Teams that use the tight end will look at him. Those that dont, want to know if he can block. $.5 is good to those teams if Olsen gets burned then can use that 4.5 time to recover the embarrassment. Ron Brown was one of the fastest guys in the NFL in the mid to late 80s (Olympic runner) but how many of you guys even remember him? There is so much to the TE position than speed. KC would love to have someone to be in the wings for Gonzo.

Another guy I'd watch for is Anthony Spencer out of Purdue. He's 6'3" 260 and has supposedly been running 4.4's in training. He's more of a 3-4 OLB, IMO, but if he moves up into the top 15 or 20 picks, it may help push Carriker or Johnson down to us.

Spencer will be a 3-4 LB. He doesn't have the lower body strength to play DL in the NFL
