What an odd mock, Eric Weddle round 7?

As a Florida fan Reggie Lewis taken over CB's like Alan Ball and John Guice? WOW!

I wouldn't complain about Denver's draft to be honest. Value wise. but i dont see us going WR in round 1.

Our round 1 pick could be better but I'm cool with the rest of the picks.

Love it for the Broncos and on the whole it doesn't look too horrible, but a few questionable things. Weddle in round 7 is the most obvious, I don't think I'd be able to handle us passing him over for Catanese.

Agree with the Weddle observation. Should be 3rd/4th round at the very lowest. I reckon this guy just missed him and slotted him in at the end. lol.

Ugoh seems very low as well at 91.

I wouldn't whine too much. I do have my money on the Broncs taking a WR in round 1. They need a slot receiver to work in to replace Rod and this draft is loaded at that position. I might like Meacham better, but Bowe has more history and is as stong as an ox.

Someone needs to tell this site that Zackary Bowman is not in the draft.

I noticed they conveniently plopped Levi Brown right in front of us. We will not take WR in the first.

I have seen three or four that have him listed as well

The funny thing is that he is NOT on their draft board either. Mistakes are very common with this much changing information but that is still funny.

Well props for doing 7 rounders, but why take a LB in the third- I would be hacked that Mike Johnson goes to the colts later in the round...

And I cannot for everyone to cry and scream when denver picks WR in the first.

Weddle was actually pick #109 in round 4, then duplicated in round 7. It looks like the writer had him rated as both a S and a CB.

In this mock, there's a lot of talent at the top of round 4. Jackson, Bazuin, McDonald, Pittock, Wendling, and Weddle all go between 97 and 109. I wouldn't mind any of them. Another guy I like is Anthony Waters of Clemson. He was hurt last year, but has a lot of talent and could be a steal if he falls to round 6 like they project.

So Josh Brown is leaving the Seahawks this offseason?

Crosby isn't going to last until #86, and he wouldn't go to the Seahawks anyway.

Yeah but at least he gave us a good one and the rest of the draft wasn't that bad. Pretty decent go on our end, I felt.

I don't care. IF that is how the draft goes we had better be trading down and then picking whoever is left between Willis and Griffith around 26.

Agreed. This mock actually filled most of our needs and we'd get a couple pretty good DL in Tyler and Crowder. Everett seems like Denver's kind of LB and even Russell is a player who could potentially thrive in Denver's scheme. Seems like a well thought-out draft to me.

I hate the fact that Carriker and Johnson are both gone in the first. This would be my Draft if fell that way. 1 Michael Griffen 2 Brandon Mebane 3a Dan Buzuin 3B Mike Otto 5 Anthony Watters 6 Louis Leonard 7. Brandon Myles. This is mostly a defensive draft plus Broncos go after Marcus Mason and some more undrafted free agents.Hopefully the Broncos add a pick with trading of Plummer, then use that addition pick to get Dre Bly and Marcus Bell from Detroit. The Broncos do not add running back in draft so maybe they wait to next year and sign free agent running back like Chis Brown and keep both Bells.

I like your thinking elway. The first five picks may not have the "upside" of some others in this draft, but all of them played a lot of college ball and were very productive. That draft would bring some toughness to the team, too.

21 WR Dwayne Bowe LSU

70 DE Tim Crowder Texas

That's jerkoff material right there. Slot receiver/playmaker. . . CHECK. Huge tackle next to Warren, CHECK. Strong end, CHECK.

Linebacker who is good/interesting pick. Yay!

I dont know if its jerkoff material.....almost, but not quite. Bowe teamed with Marshall and Javon would be really good. Tyler can take up space, probably better as a 3-4 NT than a 4-3 DT, but if Bates is going to go with the Rhodes 2002 fat ass DT approach then it would be a good fit, I still prefer a traditional pass rushing 4-3 DT if we are going to stay with that defense. Crowder would be a great, great pick at 70. Everett at 86 makes no sense. He is purely a weakside prospect. We already have 2 weakside linebackers.

All in all though it would still be very good.

If I had my wish? Flip a draft pick with the Giants and move up to take Levi Brown. Shouldn't cost that much.

Round two, take Mebane and go laughing to the bank.

Round three find a way to get Dan Bazuin and Josh Gattis.

In round 5 take Travarious Bain at CB.

Say we sent our last two picks to move up a couple spots for Levi Brown in the first.

We would be sitting on cloud nine with this draft. We would have a future stallwart on the offensive line protecting Cutler, a big bodied DT that can impact the pass and run, a safety of the future who could step in right now and play immediately as well as a high motor guy that has the potential to be a three down lineman for us.

Bain is just a guy who is slipped through the cracks but has a lot of potential and could be a steal.

I don't mind the pick of RB Gary Russell Minnesota in the 6th round.

He did not play last year and will have that stigma, but he would be a low risk with potential for a high reward. He was good enough in 2005 to split carries with Laurence Maroney.

I know that many will be gun shy because of the Maurice Clarett fiasco, but it would be a worthwhile risk with the 183rd selection.

I'd be pissed if Mason Crosby was taken one spot ahead of us in the 3rd. I know it's not a popular pick around here but I'm still hoping we snag him
