3 run bomb by Hawpe. 6-2.

With Fogg, the Sox are still in it.

This is way Schilling won't be resigned next season, a very good start one day the next he looks like ass. Wonder if Lester shows up when they recall him if Schilling would be on the trading block?

It all depends on whose Theo could get for Schill- think if they trade him and Hanson for Hudson or Willis. As we speak Tito just stated that Lester is being opitioned down to PAWSOX and won't be coming up anytime soon.

If Hudson or Willis are somehow dealt to the Sox, it won't be Schilling going the other way.

Boston is in the market for YET ANOTHER starting pitcher? Aren´t Beckett, Schilling, Dice K and Wakefield enough?

well WHEN we make the playoffs its going to be fun watching schill beckett dice-k and wake.

i cant wait to watch beckett pitch tonight, hes my favorite pitcher to watch in the league. Hes like an 8 inning version of papelbon but with a NASTYYYYY curve, a sick 2 seamer and can throw a couple different versions of his fastball.

I can't believe the Rockies rocked the Red Sox 12-2 last night. Really just wanted them to avoid a sweep, but if they can win tonight, that would be awesome.

Thanks, my fatherday present to my father is the new Yaz book and DVD. Yaz was my grandfather's favorite player and I heard all the stories about him growing up

With Beckett going tonight your Rockies are going to have a hard time making that happening. Right now Beckett is the leading CY Young candidate in AL based on his work so far.

That's very debateable. John Lackey & CC Sabathia have just as legitimate claims as Beckett at this point.

I'm not sure of the exact relationship but my Aunt is cousins(first cousin I believe but not totally sure) with Yaz. I never met him in my life but I thought it was pretty cool when I found out years ago.

I'd argue that Dan Haren is the leading candidate. Yes, he's got two losses, but he doesn't have the run support that Haren has gotten. His 1.58 ERA sure beats Beckett's 2.88.

Beckett's having a fine season, no doubt, but if the vote were today, I don't see how Haren doesn't get it.

Both Lackey and Sabathia are having great seasons, but they both give up too many hits. My money is on either Haren of Beckett for the Cy.

Johan will have something to say about all this before it's over.
