The Rockies control their own destiny. Win 3 and they should not only be in but probably end up winning the division. If they lose, I think they are done. SD has to lose at least two more games, and Philly/Mets at least one should the Rockies stumble. This sure is exciting

brings back memories of the mid-late 90's. too bad i dont get to denver as often like those days.
sat. evening in denver, 85 degrees with no humidity. drinking beer all game, watching the rockies pull out six or seven runs in the last three innings. then wandering around LoDo for a few more hours.
watching the rockies back then was like watching the elway led broncos down 10 points in the fourth quarter. down eight runs in the 6th? who cares,no problem.
if the rockies can pull of one more sweep and it wouldnt surprise me. ill have to try and ask my old connection for some playoff tickets and relive some LoDo memories.

I think I'll watch my first game of the year tonight.

Is there any room on the bandwagon

It occurs to me that the impact of this run will be felt fopr a couple o fyears. I submit htat the West Coast teams and their fans will not take the Rockies lightly again. The Rockies swept all of teh West Coast teams at least one series this year, and beat them in their own parks. The "great" pitchers and hitters out there have some competition, now, an dif the MOnforst don't screw it up, the Rockies could be there for some time.

Tulo and the other guys are not intimidated by the "great" pitchers out there. Respectful, yes, but not intimidated. And I think that will be a factor in years to come.....

Not good - 3-0 hole in the 3rd. Not impossible to overcome, but....

Lots of swinging at first pitches. Come on - make him pitch to you!

Yeah, the Rockies don't seem to work the count a lot by taking pitches early, aside from Helton.
But man, I'm happy the Rockies got at least 1 run in that inning.

Helton was one of the ones I was referring to his last AB. But he usually does work the count.

Geez, see, Atkins is ahead 2-0 and swings and hits a weak grounder to third. You guys don't have to swing at every strike!
