Personally I liked DeMarcus Tyler, but I'm not sure he's the answer to our pass rushing woes. He'd be great against the run though.

Tyler is not a pass rusher but he fit Bates scheme of Big DTs that play the run and clog 2 gaps

For that to be possible Bates needs 2 big fattys to eat space and push the line 1 CB like Samuel ![]() 1 more fast athletic LB 1 Speed rushing DE (maybe Elvis fits this bill already?) Add in some Oline depth and maybe another big RB = SB |

we definitely need a weakside DE as I don't think we can count on Elvis as an every-down rusher. We could definitely still set him up in some kind of 3rd down/ obvious passing situation package. Samuel will be spendy, Maybe Roderick Hood or Randall Gay... Doesn't Hood have experience in retuning kickoffs & punts? |

I want Soliai as well. If we can resign Myers and his 57 tackles to go with a healthier Warren, Soliai can be nice depth to be groomed for when Myers slows down. I think DT is the least of our worries. I want a S, DE, OT, RB and THEN DT.
