So what does everyone prefer a recliner or a chair w/ottoman? I need to upgrade my seating before to long and curious of the Manes favorite.

Definitely leather recliner. I like leather because it's easier to clean my son's Slurpee off of it - after I told him not to pick it up by the lid, and he didn't listen, and kids these days - oh, nevermind - it's like talking to a wall.

Dont know about you but I'm fairly tall. They really dont make chairs/couchs etc for people over 6' tall. The "bottom" of all chairs only comes about 1/2 the way down the back of my leg. To really be comfy you need support pretty much down to where your knee bends. Dont even get me started about the back support on most recliners not being in the correct position. Now lucky for me I found that lazy boy makes a "big mans" chair. Its great the support is right in the lowwer back and the bottom comes right to the knee "bend". Also the arm rests are made for someone of height. Incase you cant tell I take my chairs very serious

Dust mites creep into upholdstered recliners.
Leather at least keeps them out. ![]() A 15 year old average mattress will have half it's weight in mites. And mite feces. Last edited by watermock; 01-19-2007 at 01:29 PM.. |

Oh that is a standard and have a comfotable one but to much falling asleep risk (speaking of movies not on games) and a good chair is important.
For the leather lovers doesnt it get cold in winter time and hard to warm up? I realy dont have a clue on this because I have never owned leather furniture. I love my uph. recliner but it is literaly falling apart I had to rebuild its foot rest many times, its sunk in and the back is missing all its buttons. |

The old lazy boy is 40 years old and bulletproof...I vacumed it then steamed it, then vacumed it.
It's built like a Tiger Tank. It has to go sometime tho. I have another lazyboy and it's a tinker toy. |

Oh I never even thought about my animals (a cat and a 90lb Bulldog). I may have to stick with upholstery.

Speaking of football, Arkansas. What can you tell us about Jamaal Anderson? Chris Houston?

J.Anderson I would love to have. He has the total frame for a good LE. He is about 6'6" 280 but I think he still may have a bit more growing to do. He plays fast and is strong. Good both against the run and pass. Houston is a bit of a head-hunter, takes alot of chances and kinda cheats (kinda holds and some pass interferance) to keep his man down. I like the guy just dont think he will make it as a starting corner in the NFL but he may suprise me.
