Default Hypothetically, is it hard to steal a street sign?

HYPOTHETICALLY! Before anybody goes and reports me to the NM police, I doubt I'd ever have the balls to actually do it.

But I was driving around Albuquerque today, and came across a street called "Cutler." I'm sure I've driven past it hundreds of times, but today I took note of it, for obvious reasons.

It'd be pretty neat to have a Cutler street sign. Hypothetically speaking.

Not that I would know anything about this but it depends on the traffic on the road. At 3:00 am it is nearly impossible to get caught. Vice clamps and an adjustable wrench should get you in and out in no time. Just remember the phrase "I live right down the street and noticed the sign was getting loose."

I have a crime watchers sign, that was fun. A cow crossing sign, my home town river sign and a really cool access at the rear sign. I have others but those are my fav's. I don't do it anymore but when I was 21 it was fun to do. I also wouldn't touch a stop sign or a yield sign.

Some day you will say to yourself "Why the F do I have a street sign, how did I ever think this was a good idea"
Then you will leave the thing in the alley.

Not to be a dick, guess I am just getting old.

Hypothetically speaking, if you can get one, you can get two.

And, hypothetically speaking, if you had two, you could send one to me.

Don't take a sign from the video camera stoplights intersections that record you if you barrel thru a red light. Other then that I have no other advice. By the way do you know the crimestopper toll free reward phone line to report crimes for cash in Albuquerque, NM. Always wondered what that phone number was.

If you're worried, just pay a hobo a couple of bucks to do it. Then you can stick a knife in their back and dump their body in a ravine. That way you get the sign for free without doing anything illegal.

Wait til they're just laying there against the post either waiting to go up or being repaired. Just grab it and go. That's what I did when I was a drunken teenager.

Btw, I think you can get in pretty big trouble for stealing street signs. Just in case, ya know......

Hypothetically it's not worth it.

A friend of mine stole one about 15 years ago. Tried to buy a gun last month and he didn't pass the background check because of it. He'll never be able to buy a gun.
