All the talk has been that he won't be back in Tampa next season. There are pros and cons that come along with him.

Pros: He can flat out rush the passer. He posted double digit sack totals for five straight years before having his season cut short due to injury this year. Despite being hurt this year, he'd played in at least 15 games in every year of his career leading up to this one.

Cons: He'll be 33 in February and missed half of this past season due to injury. Is that an aberration or is it a sign of his body breaking down as he gets older? He's also a giant a-hole who I personally can't stand, but I'll set that aside for now and just focus on the football aspect of the situation.

Now, I figured he'd never be here so long as Jake Plummer was here due to possible friction over his comments about Pat Tillman. Now it appears as though Jake is going to be given the keys to the street, not to mention that John Lynch might go to bat for him since they were teammates in Tampa for many years, so what do you think? Should the Broncos be interested? Obviously they aren't going to break the bank for a 33 year old DE coming off of injury, I'm just trying to gauge the interest around here.

for sure worth a look.

We need a pass rush, but if he wants big bucks, it may not be worth it at that age.

Setting aside my personal feelings about him, I still don't think its a good idea. He's a stopgap at this point and I would rather see us commit more resources for a first round pick or a run at Justin Smith.

I'm leaning that way, too. What he could bring to the table in the short term would be allright, so long as he isn't in the process of having his body fall apart with age. There's a lot of wear on his tires.

This year will mark the 10 year anniversary of the last time the Broncos used a 1st round pick on a defensive lineman. It's high time that streak came to an end.

As long as its not a reach, I would agree with that.

Whenever we draft for need, (Nash, Middlebrooks, Foster) we always get heartache.

True, but Shanahan has had a habit of targeting some good D-linemen in the draft, they just seem to either get snatched up before the Broncos pick comes up or he's unable to get a deal done to move up for them.

There should be some good ones in this years draft, but my wandering eye has me checking out some players who I'd like to see them go after who would probably cause this board to go into meltdown mode if they did.

I think 21 is a pretty good place to be this year. We can move up or move down from that spot, depending on how things play out.

I'm high on LaRon Landry, but Michael Griffin is starting to grow on me. I like the fact that he's blocked six punts in college. That was one of the things that really appealed to me about Ed Reed coming out of Miami.

Barring unforseen circumstances, Landry will be the first safety off the board and likely a top 10 pick. He's a stud.

All early indications (how accurate they are is anyone's guess) suggest that Griffin will be there at 21. Quentin Moses from Georgia is looking like this year's Mathias Kiwanuka. Consensus top 10 pick before the season, but has seen his stock dip as the year went along. I wouldn't mind him in orange & blue next season.

Marshawn Lynch & Ted Ginn Jr. are really growing on me, but a large portion of people here would lose their minds if the Broncos went either of those directions.

At 33, you certainly wouldn't want to give him a multi-year deal, but a one or two year deal would work for me.

We could certainly use Ginn Jr's return skills, but we looked pretty well stack at WR to me (Walker, Marshall, Rod, Kircus, possibly Hixon who hasn't gotten a chance yet) so first round for a WR doesn't seem like a good idea. Lynch would be fine with me, but I've seen early projections with him going top 10.

Lynch or Ginn at 21 would be strong picks. I think Lynch would be a great choice. I would probably rather try and land a wideout later, though.

Moses would be alright with me, so would Okoye. The best available offensive lineman over 310 pounds would be acceptable, too.

That doesn't make sense. A first round pick is going to get whatever they get regardless. The issue is whether he'd help or not, and there is nothing that says getting him precludes getting a Justin Smith (whoever he is...).....

What is true: Broncos need big time help on Dline. Sadly, DB, too. A S would be nice and a RB with pinchers for hands would help out if he could run a bit as well.....

We`might have to consider CBs in the 1st round now.

Actually it does make sense of you understand NFL teams must get beneath a salary cap each season.

Ginn is just so damn tempting, because of his sick return skills and his vertical explosiveness (which is a very valuable skillset--regardless of what everyone thought of Lelie).

Moses is nice, but his linemate is pretty good himself. Charles Johnson has reportedly declared as of today, and he's a fine looking prospect himself. Definitely first day material, maybe higher after workouts. Heck, bring both of 'em in!

I checked the math, that extra 3rd round pick can move us up to around 15 or 16...we should be able to get something good there.

My thoughts exactly. He's dangerous every time the ball is in his hands, he could stretch the field and be the cure for what ails us in the return game.

People would probably hate the thought of a receiver in round 1, but Ginn is a weapon that would be hard to pass up. He'd be amazing value if he lasts until 21.

I started a poll about him in the draft room.

Last year when there was a trade possibilty with the fins and I said that Jason would be somebody I like to take from them and everybody here said that Jason tayor was on the wrong side of 30 and he had DPOY type year. If Rice gets cut and we have him play like we had Neal Smith play I'd be happy.
