Default We led San Fran 13-0 and lost.

This is a very hard loss to take. We let one of the worst teams in football come into our house and down 13-0, come back and beat us in overtime and let their weak QB stand back there and carve our Coyer 4-3 preseason vanilla defense up, and now here we sit out of the postseason. I did not expect this at all, i thought we would take care of business today. I was wrong, dead wrong.

Wasnt the first time we pissed away a 7+ lead at home. 4-4 at home ... pathetic.

Personally, I think they were inspired by the death of Hessin sp? Remember that SF player that died after the game the last time the Niners played in Denver? They mentioned it during the game.

Broncos season 2006.

Led Colts 14-6 at home half-time lost 34-31
Led Chargers 24-7 at home 9-25 3rd qtr lost 35-27
Led Seahawks 13-7 at home H/T lost 23-20
Led 49ers 13-0 at home 2-09 2nd qtr lost 26-23 OT

Story of our season both this year and last. Lost count of the amount of games teams nearly made comebacks against us last year after we'd built up huge leads. The Patriot and Eagle regular season games spring to mind.

13-0, and in reality should have been 28-0. 3 possessions inside the 5 and they come away with 9 points. That is the most frustrating part.

But, dark day, bright future...

WOW, I'll bet those stats just makes your butthole wanna chew tobacco.

That Cleveland loss doesn't seem so bad now. Thanks for the pick me up.

just think of it as amazingly poor half time adjustments!

Coyer's been coaching for 42 years and you'd think he'd know a thing or two about making adjustments, but i guess not.

Truly good teams don't lose at home. The only redeeming factor was that we were winners on the road.

How's this? 1-3 against the NFC West! Weeeeeee!

this game kind of reminds me of the lame effort they put against the Jaguars in the 1996 playoff game. I wanted to shoot my tv after that game also.

At least we didn't have Perry out there for 12 men on the field!

This was just a disaster of a season. I can't believe how many games we flat out blew. I really hope that we are not seeing a team that is mentally weak and apathetic about losing. It's really disturbing that we went 4 - 4 at home, 1 - 3 against the NFC West, and had our worst division record in years. But what's most disturbing is that we went 2 - 5 the last 7 games. Ouch.

Invesco is a joke, its a corporate board room, homefield advantage is gone, and we have a second rate stadium compared to all the new age facilities!

Keep charging through the nose Bowlen, and let me guess, club seats are still available

If you go to the games just sit there, don't stand up, don't yell, don't get involved. The stadium is full of 40+ year season ticket holders who bring their own food and sit on their hands no matter what happens!

A bunch of entitled snobs! get off it

This happens when teams have the opportunity to ruin playoff hopes for another team. Players get off on it I guess.

Our defense could not get the 9ers off the field. They more than anything drove me nuts.

Well, our defense is a joke. Anyone who wants to argue that at this stage is beyond help.

The offensive line lost this game. That was pretty obvious. First and goal at the one yard line and they get totally dominated on three straight downs. That was when San Francisco realized they had a chance to win this game.

One other factor nobody is considering about this game. Its very easy to say the 49ers had nothing to play for today, but I wonder how many of you remember what happened when that team came here in for a pre season game in August.

23 year old Thomas Herrion collapsed and died in the lockerroom after the game. I'm pretty sure many of the Niner players had that on their minds today and I believe most of them played a little harder than they might have as a result.

Before anyone wants to take off running with this, I'm not offering it as an excuse. I'm merely pointing out the Niners weren't necessarily some team that had nothing at all to play for today.

I said the same thing and yeah...they ran away with it as an excuse...not how I meant it either...but motivation for your team is a great thing...we should know how that goes.

I just get so tired of these amatuer psychics who think they know which team is motivated and which team has given up. Unless you're on that team, or at least in that lockerroom, you don't know anything.

They said something about the Niners having a few minutes before gametime for thoughts and prayers for him today...so you know that was on their minds.

Our team never gave up either...you could see it in that last drive!
