It's probable that nobody cares about this around here but me, but I'm posting it anyway. I'm pretty proud of my team. Losing by two when we were supposed to get blown out is not bad. We left ten points on the field (a missed FG, a TD called back for a bonehead penalty), and that's obviously disappointing, but once again, the Hawkeyes showed up and made it tough on the defending nat'l champs. I'm disappointed, but after watching a hell of a lot of bad football out of our 6-6 Hawkeye team, I'm not as disappointed as I expected to be.
Now I'll sit here and hope ex-Hawkeye Ladell Betts doesn't bring the Redskins back, so that our 3rd round pick is a little higher. |

It was one of three great games today. Feel sorry for those folk that wasted their time watching a couple of p*ss poor pro teams.

Colt played his ass off today. For a freshman? He is going to be a heck of a Qb for the Horns in the future.

True. And so will the three freshmen in the SEC. Some fun college football years on the horizon.

Iowa put up quite a fight. I wonder if the Hawkeyes going up 14-0 early made the Longhorns bear down. Early on, Texas didn't appear too interested in winning this one.
Too bad they are losing Tate to graduation. I don't know what his pro potential is but he was an exciting college QB. |

A good game for both the Longhorns and the Hawkeyes. Iowa totally blew the game with that reverse they tried to run on one of the last drives, horrible call from the "Best Coach in the Big 10"
