Good for him. I hope he has found a way to solve his catching problems.
From SI.com New York signed free agent receiver Darius Watts; tight end Darcy Johnson from their practice squad; and running back Robert Douglas from the Houston Texans' practice squad. Watts was a second-round draft choice by the Denver Broncos in 2004. He caught 31 passes for 385 yards and a touchdown as rookie. The Marshall product had two receptions last season and was released by the Broncos before the start of this season. |

The Craw! The Craw!
All though it's going to be a tough gig with how bad the Giants have looked lately (Eli looks like he's trying to join the Ryan Leaf fodder right now) nice to see Darius get another opportunity. |

Good time for him to be signed. He'll have a job through the offseason and will be able to go to camp with the Giants.

Good for Watts. I don't normally pull for too many individual players but I did always find myself wishing Watts would break out at camp/on the field. He was one of those guys who would have a good camp and it would never materialize on the field. He's still young and could make it happen. It was just a few days ago when I dropped a post wondering where the heck he went. Glad someone is giving him a shot. The kid knows how to get open...He just needs to hold onto the damn ball!

I like him, glad to hear he's with the Giants. (not that they're a good team or anything)
Good luck Darius! |

Brandon Marshall is a stud....
Oh I already forgot about Watts in a thread about Watts. Actually good for him - I hope he does well (for an NFC team). Glad he didn't sign with the Chiefs or Raiders - they could use him. |

another miss by shanny, sundquist has gotten him to start being more conservative on draft choices, stop shooting for the moon with all those boom or bust guys.
Middlebrooks, Watts, Toveisi, and too many others to mention. How good would Steven Jax look right now? The staff doesn't even use DJ right, did anyone here his name on Sunday? was he out with injury? bizarre. They definitely got it right with Cutler, Marshall, Scheffler, and the two young North Dakotans on the line, but Shanny had to shoot for the moon with his injured upside guy Hixon. Why am I bringing it up, because thats what Watts is or was to bronco fans, a symbol of all our bad drafts! Kudos to Shanny for winning so much with such mediocre drafts! here is a frightening trip back in time! http://www.orangemane.com/BB/showthread.php?t=25343 |

What a garbage pick that was... What a f'n bust! Saw this when he was drafted. Draft a WR, 2nd round pick, who has a problem with his hand. Oy!

Who drafts a WR in the 2nd round who resembles the fiddler crab? Oy! You suck Watts. You'll be cut when training camp rolls around.

Hopefully Denver wakes up and goes blitz crazy ala in the Superbowl years if we make it into the playoffs. P.S I wish Watts well, that kid can really be something in this league if he can just catch the damn ball. |
