Shinyheaded emotional cripple Terry Bradshaw downplaying Cutler's achievements and potential while Howie Long and Jimmy Johnson blow laughter into his gargoyle face.
You know if I was a producer of one of these NFL shows I'd do an American Idol type search for "America's best new sportscaster" and get some real talent behind these desks. It's painful to even watch pre-game anymore.
The egos need to go and "real knowledgeable football minds" need to be in.
YA! like that will ever happen. |

There are ex players who aren't clowns like Bradshaw and Irvin, but the networks don't respect our intelligence enough to give them jobs.

Given the evidence, I would have to say that they arent exacty wrong. Just look at what garbage ends up on the frontpage of your favorite sports website.

Pandering to the lowest common denominator is no excuse. They perpetuate the stupidity and then act like they're just giving people want they want.

Unfortunately, alot of people buy in to that stuff. They soak up the hype. Hence my disdain for players like Reggie Bush, Mike Vick, and the like. Heck, at least Terrell Owens is a good player. |

Costas is very knowedgeable about all sports, and I think he's very intelligent, short, and sometimes annoying with his smug demeanor. Chris Collinsworth I respect. He generally has good football takes, and I think is a decent analyst. Marino and Carter I could do without. I'm not sure what the deal is with former QB's in his position, but they annoy the hell out of me. ala, Thiesmann, Marino, Simms.

Well, you would think that he's the best player in the NFL from the hype that he receives.
He's had what, two good games this season? That's darn near U N B E L I E V A B L E! He's taken the Saints on his back all season long! Their wins are directly attributeable to his outstanding consistent performances! When the Saints have needed wins, Reggie Bush has pulled them through every time. He's a pro bowler. He's got the ball in his hands every play. He's a superstud! Wait...no, that's Drew Brees. I forgot that Reggie Bush is a bit player. |

You should probably learn a little more about sports media. That would help you understand why these things happen. I'll give you a hint...it doesnt matter which player is better. |
