Default Have you ever painted your face?

Are you a face painter?

I was flying home yesterday, reading ESPN the mag., there is a story about 3 Panther fans, all face painters.
Got me thinking, who on the mane paints thier face? Not that there is anything wrong with it, not really my style, but now is the time to stand up and be counted.

I have painted more than a few faces in my day..................

I just painted my wife's face last week.

I can say that I have never once painted my own face or had anyone paint my face though!

Last weekend.

But I rubbed it before the game started and took it off before I went in the Dome.

BMF and STG's daughter are big face painters, I dont like it.

Nope, I don't even sport a jersey. Not all, but some jersey people bother me. Like if the player that they happen to be wearing the jersey of makes a play, they point, or tug on thier jersey like they made the freaking play. Bugs the hell out of me.

I specifically remember the 98 home finale when TD was going for 2,000, a kid was walking around in front of the South Stands tugging on his Sharpe jersey after he made a play. It was like he was taunting other Broncos fans. Never made any sense to me.

I have a sh-tload of Broncos hats though.

Oops.

This weekend in Arizona, when Champ made his first INT, I halfway turned around and faced the fans behind me and tugged up at the shoulders of my Champ jersey. Just for like 2 seconds, because I was very proud!

In my defense, I was on the way to being drunk, and on an emotional high at the time. It was 2 minutes after the Cutler-Walker bomb, and then Champ picked a first down pass at the AZ 30 yard line!

I think my shoulder-jersey-tug was appropriate, given the situation!

EDIT: I think that jersey-tugging is a fine expression of emotion. I mean, think about it...you have 6 different jerseys to choose from out of your closet before the game. You pick one, go to the game, and he makes a huge play. Why not be allowed to point out that you chose to support the player that just made a big difference in the game?

My ex-wife would spend hours painting her face to look like Monroe.

I painted my face on halloween once as a zombie...does that count?

Only for Halloween, but I literally did hook up with a female face painter at a party and my face got painted in the process.

What kind of cheese and wine do you reccommend for the game?

Hardly wine and cheese dude. I still wear Broncos gear, I am on my feet and yelling my ass off. Jerseys just aren't my thing. Maybe if I was a wine and cheeser I would have the dough to afford all those jerseys.

And I said some, not all.

I think it's totally lame to paint your face. I like to wear a nice fitted, subtle broncos T with the sleeves cut off. I like to show off my beautiful bi & triceps with my chest pressing against the shirt. Not a loud shirt where the broncos logo takes up half the shirt. Subtle. And a nice, subtle backwards hat when I go to the games. I like to look good for the ladies. You never know when pootang is around the corner. Don't want to look like a fool when the opportunity arise.

I think it is alright. You are respecting your fav player for that game. BigShay must have tickets on the club level. Biv, nice meeting you last weekend also.

There was no option for trying it once and hating to take it off so never did it again. Rams vs Broncos in anaheim around 1995. Never again! BMF swears by it.

Hardly dude. My family has had tickets in the South Stands and lower level west stands since the 60s. I prefer the rowdy crowd, I just don't like SOME
jersey people. I am not a jersey person myself. I don't hold it against anyone at all, but at the same time it doesn't make me less of a fan, nor does it make a jersey guy, a face painter, more of a fan. Whatever makes you happy, and keeps you fired up for the game.

Nope, never!

But in all seriousness, this was the first time I had done it since a Monday night game I went to in 1997. But hell, it got me on the highlights, so **** it!

I don't think there is any problems at all of being proud of the players whose jersey's you choose to wear. I wear an Elam jersey and I get all excited at every time he scores (which is basically every game)....not because I think I could do it (yeah right!) but because I support him and think he's a great player. I do it as a showing of my support and appreciation of his play! I'd like to get a Bailey jersey next and I would do the same thing.

Now, as for men that paint there face.....DAMN SEXY!

Twice have I painted my face.First when I was a kid. It was green and black paint and we were actualy having a bb gun fight (not a safe idea kids do not try) in the woods close to our neighborhood. A friend had the paint and I figured it would help. 2nd was a kids Halloween party and I was a zombie on the hayride which was white paint.

I paint my face for every game I attend in the traditional half blue, half orange. Thinking of switching things up a little after seeing Cardinal Pete and BMF! I draw the line at shoulder pads though. I actually get more comments about the orange pants.
