Stay safe all of you in Colorado...no flights went out from here to Denver either today. Thank God, I wasn't going to the Bronco/Bengal game...or I'd have been really pissed!

Yup, pretty rough go of it here. There is 100% chance of perfect weather in SoCal through Christmas. And the only shoveling being done here is scooping up after the mutt.

Ak1971, may I remind you that you suckered me into buying your tickets for the Oakland snow game two years ago while your ass was in New Zealand! Now get back to shoveling!

I made it from the Park Meadows area to Hampden & Tower in South Aurora in an hour at 3:00. It wasn't bad if you had 4 wheel drive most of the back up was people in cars stuck right in the middle of the freeway on flat ground!

Does anyone know if Garcia is surviving his first snowstorm in Denver?

This snow flake feature makes my Mac two finger touch pad scrolling feature work in a herky jerky fashion.

We are about to get an old fashoned ice storm with wind in NW Iowa. I might as well say goodbye for awhile altho almost everything has been put underground and the old plant can go online if needed.

Sounds like Denver has ice under the snow.

Not so much, Mock. Last night the road crews dumped a bunch of mag chloride on the streets & they say it's done a good job of preventing ice. It's just way too much snow!

Disco, you're not that far from me... Iliff & Buckley.

And the Broncos did practice today, in the bubble. Lynch said the car he drove in doesn't do that great in the snow & asked his wife on-camera to bring the SUV, lol.

I'm blaming Taco for the snow.

I can't believe it's been 24 years since the Christmas Eve blizard of 82. It snowed 48 inches, then the wind started up and it went below zero for days straight. There was a drift on the east side of my house to the eve.

Denver almost completely shut down for two weeks and it was two months before we got a thaw. It was comical and got the Mayor voted out.

Oddly, the local liquor store was open, so we did a group march thru the waist deep snow and purchased a keg and pulled it back 10 blocks with ropes like dogs with the girls yelling "mush...mush..."...and spanking us along. True story.
