So far, at 8:30 am, in Northern Colorado, wew have a dusting of snow on the roads, swirling around with the breeze. Some offices are closing (Dentists) for afternoon appointments. Gotta get gas for the old Toro Thrower.....

I'm supposed to be flying into Denver tonight. Hopefully the storm will have cleared out by then.

I hope you make it but I think most of the flights are already being cancelled and it's not going to stop snowing till tomorrow.

What a mess this will be. I heard that the airport is already over capacity with holiday traveliers/flights starting Thursday. Soooo where are they gonna cram all of todays people

I'm sure there are people in suits sweating in meetings as we speak.

Actually you would be coming from the best possible direction. You would miss most of the mess until you hit closer to Denver. Heck by then most of it will be cleaned up anyway.....GO

blizzard is a very misunderstood word. It has nothing to do with total snowfall and everything to do with winds. I hope your correct but Im thinking your gonna get your share before this is over.

I hope so. I could use a day off or 2 to get my CHRISTMAS shopping done. Just the way its coming down though, looks like nothing more than a dusting.

Yeah, that's the way I am leaning. I have a autographed Cutler Jersey waiting for me out there too. If I could talk my command into letting me take leave, I could stay and go to the season finale also. I'd also probably be able to see Iverson at Nuggets game. I just hate that drive SOOOO much.

About 3 inches of dry snow in Tech Center, but schools are cancelled and roads are a mess. Almost seems the Mag Cloride or whatever they are using now actually makes it worse in this type of situation. gotta make a trip to the liquor store before it gets too bad

I hear you. If I remember right when I was stationed out there it was a 3 hour flight from here. Never made the drive how long is it. Time for a pit stop in Vegas

Crap. Well my flight isn't supposed to get in until 11:40pm so maybe the worst of it will be over. Or maybe I'll be spending Christmas in the Portland airport.

I'd start working the phones looking to get into Colorado Springs or maybe even better Grand Junction and driving (rental) from there instead of spending the holidays stuck in Portland.

Hey have you ever seen the movie "Planes Trains & Automobiles"

17 hours from SD. 13 hours from Vegas. Or I could go AZ/NMEX/CO but that is like 20 hours. If my command will let me take leave I might have to do it.

Yeah, my parents are supposed to be driving down from Cheyenne to pick me up, but I guess they are already talking about closing I-25. This is going to be a hell of a day...I can see it.
