Default Hornung: Right About LT, or Sour Grapes?

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16266246/

Of course, Hornung also kicked for FGs and Pats. But he did it in 12 games. LT beat the record scoring TDs, but it took him 14 games.

Hornung was the NFL's original Pretty Boy. He has an ego that almost matches TO's. Who gives a crap about records anyway.

I agree. The pretty boy ballooned into a fat slob not long after his career was over.

Regardless of what you think of either player, Hornung has a good point. He would have had 236 points if he played a 16 game season like Tomlinson. It's not in either player's control how long their seasons are so all you can say do is explain how Hurnung's was more impressive.

LT>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Horning

If Paul played in today's NFL, he wouldn't even see the field.

Nobody ever got screwed worse than Maris. They stuck him with an asterisk and then a collection of steriod bloated cheaters stole his record.

I watched every Packer game I could as a kid. Jim Taylor who played in the same backfield as Hornung was twice the back.

My Dad told me Taylor used to look for someone to run over on every carry.

Maybe the toughest runner ever. Not nearly as big as Campbell, but never ducked contact. Broncs could use a guy like him.
