Now these "young/new age" players have turned the sport into more of a fashion show off event. Lets see who can dunk 50 billion times a game.....ya real talent I tell ya.

Either way GO Nugs.

Hate away, I don't give a ****, we got Iverson.
This is Allen Iverson though. I don't even follow basketball, but I know that he is pure scum.

I am sorry but many of these players have come from rough childhood upbringing. They pretty much go right into the NBA and spotlight as teenagers and immature. Their natural instinct is to fight and regress back to how it was growing up. It doesn't make it right but who are we to judge when many of us have no clue what they went through. Again I am not condoning it just trying to be objective and understand it rather judge it.

AI is a cleaner version of Ray Lewis, imo.

He's got heart for sure though. Look back at the Olympics a few years ago, he was the only "player" the US had. I think he'll be ok.

Just like you said, it's not an excuse. People need to learn how to act, regardless of where they are or what their upbringing is.

Iím a casual Nuggs fan also. I know Iverson is a great individual player but as a team guy he stinks. Maybe he turns that part of his game around I donít know. I see clashes for the ball with Melo. To me this is a real mixed bag but maybe Iím wrong.

How old is AI? 31.

How old does he act? 15.

These people should grow themselves up. Just like everyone else does.

Oh no I agree I was more saying this to the people calling the NBA trash and full of thugs. Look how many kids are playing. Yeah AI and even Melo need to grow up already. Hopefully Melo takes this break to realize just how much he hurt his team and how much he needs to restrain.

I think I'll move back to Denver and open a tatoo parlor...

I prefer the old-school PG who likes to pass the ball first, but I guess this is worth a shot. It's not like they're going anywhere with the current cast anyway. I disagree that Iverson gets the team leader role though...he'll have to play 2nd fiddle to the wonderkid at this stage or risk hittin' the road again. Queston is...can he do that?

Billy King could have had Carlos Boozer & the 7th pick (Randy Foye, the guy they wanted from Minnesota in a potential Iverson deal) in a three way deal with Boston & Utah on draft day, but King backed out of it. He should have been fired as soon as he let that deal get away.

Somebody needs to shoot Billy King in the ass.

I knew that stupid son of a b**** would **** this up. I knew it. Worst god damn GM in the history of basketball.

STUPID SON OF A b****.

Man, my heart sank when I saw the headline. Damn, I have never been this sports depressed in my life. Aaarrghh

not sure if anyone has stated this, but with Melo's suspension, Nuggets had to get this done. No brainer.
