Wow! Where's the Cowboy's _efense? - The Orange Mane

They got TORCHED by Drew Brees last week and now Vick has thrown for 4 TD's in 3 Quarters.

Not like they don't have once of the best secondaries in the league with Newman, Henry, and Glenn their top 3 corners. Roy Williams, while not a good cover guy does have the most INT's in the NFC. The Cowboys have a decent pass rush too. Very suprising to see them struggle like this!

What a great football game so far, and Marshall and Deion sound great in the booth, just get rid of Gumbel.

did anybody watch the beginning? what was up with vermeil being up there with laryngitis? i just muted it. it was worthless, gumbel is wrong half the time on everything and you couldnt even understand vermeil for the most part.

I went into my goddamn fantasy league playoffs as the top seed and my goofball opponent started Michael Vick tonight. He had his high point game of the season (36) and his first good game in weeks.

I need Brees to come out smoking tomorrow and get back most of that.

yeah i had one loss in the regular season, now im down like 52-9. he had frank gore and TO. i had alex smith on the bench for david garrard. terry glenn has been my only points, i still have garrard, tiki, westbrook, fitzgerald, holt, heath miller, and shayne graham. should be some good points to be had there. all he has is devery henderson.

I also left 20 points on the bench from Marion Barber and 7 points on the bench from Vernon Davis.

I'm down 66-16, but I have everything left except my defense and he's used his QB, WR, TE and defense.

Maybe they were trying to do an imitation of Atlanta's defense.

Dallas' defense is much better than the Falcon's D. Add the fact that Vick has been struggling big time lately. Obviously the Cowboy's Defense is struggling. The question is why? Many people believe that Terrence Newman is a All-Pro caliber corner. I think he's a Pro-Bowler but not on the same level as Champ or even DeAngelo Hall. It's just weird how much they've been struggling the past few weeks.

Every team in the NFL is giving up points (especially late in games) save the 2 or 3 best defenses. It's what the fans wanted, offense, offense, offense, so the rules were "tweaked" to give them just that.

The NFL war of attrition is felt most intensely in the secondary. Once teams get down to their backup cornerbacks, you see some real stiffs getting significant reps. This causes the eyes of QBs and OCs to light up with joy.
