See, I don't get that ****. Hockey players duke it out everynight and it doesn't even make Sportcenter's highlights. An NBA fight? SHIIITTTTTT, they act as if the event set western civilization back 50 years.

Oh yeah Carmelo is getting a suspension. Isiah is still b****in. What a tool, I think he may be gay.

Karl didn't shake hands with Isiah afterwards. Looks like he sure believes that Isiah sent his guy out there to throw a hard foul.

Considering Isiah's background, that's not surprising at all.

Isiah now is talking about lecturing Melo about not being in the game. When did Carmelo become a player/coach. God I hate him.

Chris Sheriden (ESPN) just predicted 4 games for Melo, 2 for Collins, 1 for Robinson.

WHAT?!?

Nate Robinson called the foul that started it all, "A good, clean, hard foul."

Unbelievable.

The Knicks are also saying that Isiah ordered the foul.

Ok I am changing my thoughts on Melo. That was more chick slap by Melo than punch. If midget boy Robinson gets 1 game that is BS. Isiah sent out his 4th line thug. He damn well better get a suspension.

That seemed pretty obvious after Isiah talked about how JR had done a reverse dunk earlier in the quarter and how they didn't want him doing that again in front of their fans.

If that's what happened, he deserves at least a one game suspension.

This is just re-enforcing my belief that Knicks fans are the stupidest fans on Earth. It's also making me think that my generation is the stupidest generation in a long time as I've seen a few posts saying that what Robinson did was "cool" and "necessary".

Man Philly fans are thinking Carmelo gets 10-20. That is dumb. They are just hoping that since they are praying Denver doesn't get the AI trade.

Did I miss the part where he jumped into the crowd and started fighting with the fans?

Exactly, dude get over to realGM and watch what they are saying. I have been reading there to see what their "insider" is saying. They are praying Denver doesn't get AI. Now they are throwing out 10-20 gamers for both JR and Melo. Melo will get 5 games, 7 tops that is all. He slapped a dude and then backed away fast. That is not 20 suspension criteria.

While Robinson and Thomas and Collins are getting off scott-free, and it's BS, I am SERIOUSLY disappointed in Melo right now. God dammit, this is the kind of **** that seems to keep popping up and just hurting him. WALK AWAY. Just WALK AWAY.

Dammit.

I agree, he should have just walked away. He didn't and he'll be punished for it.

I still contend that the whole thing would have died out pretty fast if not for Nate Robinson jumping in, shoving JR Smith, putting his hands up to challenge him and then throwing a punch at him.

Okay on another site a guy posted a link to fines and suspensions in the past. I just looked back to last year as this was after the Detroit/Indy mele. I found this:

1/13/06
The NBA suspended Keyon Dooling (Orl) for 5 games and Ray Allen (Sea) for
3 games for their fight in Wednesday's Orl-Sea game. Dooling got the
longer suspension as he initiated the fight and also attempted to confront Allen in the hallway after leaving the court (security was able to keepDooling from reaching Allen, though words were exchanged).

Melo didn't start the fight and didn't confront anyone in the halls. So based on precedent he should only get 3-4. But the way the media is spinning it Melo will get more. Man he needs to just pull people off JR and then back off.

This is what Nate Robinson calls "a good, clean, hard foul."

He needs someone to help him change some things and manage his public image better.

There have been things that have happened in his career that give him the image of a low-life street thug, and these things just further that perception of him. ESPiN wants him to do these things so that he can be a controversial figure, and unfortunately he continues to oblige.

He understands leadership as stepping into the fray and escalating the situation further for his boy. He needs someone to tell him that leadership in that situation involves thinking about the entire franchise and the fans in the arena. It involves thinking. That takes maturity.

Ok this is just dumb that link saying they haven't seen "Testiness" since the brawl in the Palace. That is just BS you can't compare a player fight to a player fan fight. And for the love of God do not EVER use the term Testiness wiht sports again. I felt like my mom was scolding me when I was 5.
