If we win the next 3, and they are all winnable if this team pulls it's head out their collective asses we will go to the playoffs. A first round match up at foxboro would be the best considering our history of success against NE. At the worst if we did to lose to NE I would expect a close game which would be easier to stomach than our Indy losses.

we have to win all 3 of our games, regardless of what every other team does--this will not happen, IMO. NO game is an easy win with Cutler at the helm. You just dont know what you'll get from week to week. Arizona beat Seattle while we lost to the same team.

the bengals could very easily torch this year's colts team. just hand it to rudi 35 times and watch him rumble.

We have a long shot, but it's possible. We have to take care of business in Arizona though. We need to do our part and thats all we can do, the rest is up to the other teams to fall.

Even if we win the next three, we are hardly a lock for the playoffs. But I hope we get in if for nothing else than to expose Cutler to the playoffs. Not to mention it would mean we ended the season playing well, that's what I'm really hoping for.

Im in the camp that thinks whats the point of going to the playoffs and getting your ass kicked in round one. This team needs help and the way they get it is through the draft and FA. That being said IMHO its a win/win. we make the playoffs you gain valueable experience for Jay. you dont you get that much of a better spot to draft for the future.

I guess everyone forgot that they beat Seattle this last weekend?

This is NOT going to be a cake walk! We will have to work for a win.

However, I believe if we do win the next three, we do have a good chance at pulling out a win with Cutler. But, I really believe we should take this one game at a time!

the point is, OS, that to win the super bowl, you have to be in the playoffs. the raiders will not win the super bowl (even though their fans believe they win it every year) because they won't be in the tournament. the bottom line is that if you want to have a chance, you must be in the playoffs. no team wants to lose in the first round of the playoffs but any team with half a brain knows they have to be in the playoffs to have a chance NOT to lose in the first round. this is what shanny hasn't grasped yet, IMO.

IF we win out and KC drops the SD game we are in.

However:

Arizona has won three of the last four. We have dropped 4 straight.
This week is the second week on the road.

Cinncinatti is playing well the last four games....and will be hard to beat
even in Mile High.

San Francisco is a PROBABLE win.

We have to start with a win THIS week! Hope Cutler continues to show improvement and settles down.

I love homers.

With the current team we are fielding, we have no easy wins left.

Rushing doesnt seem to help us. Twice in a row we have had over 100 yards on the ground but to no avail.

As for Zona being an easy win, didnt they just beat Seattle who just beat us? I dont see that as an easy win, they will come to play. And SF at home is a very tough game no matter if we are playing well or not. And right now we are not palying well.

I'll be happy with one more win this year, assuring that we dont have a losing season.

Well there is this - if we lose enough to get close to Washington's pick we will get a high first round pick instead of their 3rd round pick

Quoted for truth! Leinart has started acting like a top drafted QB and with Edge, they've got a good run game as well. 'Zona is no gimme. But we can still pull it off if the D gets out of thier funk. I'll leave the rest of the games until after the Cards game.

Only team that can stop the Broncos reaching the playoffs if they win the next 3 are KC.

The Bengals run D may be horrible, but our defense is also horrible. Carson Palmer vs. Jay Cutler? Interesting...I'll be anxious to see how he progresses this week at Arizona...

I have been avoiding this thread as it was getting to far ahead of things. smalltowngrll is spot on. Arizona is finding some confidence while Denver has lost a lot of confidence. Now we have to go on the road and play. This team will be no easy win at all. Sure they are not on the level of our last few opponents but we aren't exactly playing great football. If we can win on the road I think it does wonders for the morale of the team. If Indy manages to beat Cincy, and I think they can, then all of a sudden we are right back in this and the team has hope. Beating Cincy here will be huge and a tough task with their offense. If we win these next two then bam we are right back in the playoffs.

Lots of people say I am against going to the playoffs only to get slaughtered but I disagree. Any game after 16 games that I get to watch is an added bonus. That and it gets Cutler experience in the Playoffs which will only help his development. So go Broncos and lets get on the winning track again!

Don't know what we'll get from Cutler?

How about 2 TDs and a 3rd down completion rate better than 50%. He's managed that in his first two NFL starts, you think he's going to suddenly get worse going against easier defenses the next three weeks? Jake couldn't manage that accomplishment either so its not like we're even close to as bad off as we were when he was the QB.

This team outside of a few individuals, Cutler being one of them, has played half assed football for the last four weeks. We won't be going to the playoffs unless they stop that because you don't beat anyone in the NFL if you don't give it some effort and heart. Assuming that they do however, we have a realistic shot of making it as a wild card and hoping to cause some noise behind a rookie QB. Lets just see how the next three weeks play out.
