Devin Hester...hands down. What he has done as rookie has been flat out amazing. He nearly had an INT to go with his record-breaking night. The fact that he makes the best of the little time he is on the field speaks loudly...

It was tough to choose from an incredible rookie class.

Hester has been nothing short of AMAZING returning kicks, Jones Drew is a heck of a runner and a heck of a fantasy player, but Vince Young has catapulted a less than mediocre franchise to the next level.

The run that beat the Texans on Sunday was a thing of beauty.

Vince Young.

I went with Vince Young. Hester has done amazing things in the return game, but Young is light years ahead of where everyone thought he'd be at the toughest position of them all.

He's got a bright future ahead of him.

In any other season anyone of them would be far and away the winner. Hester has rewritten history. Young has taken a crap team on his back and now has a healthy win streak going. Bush started out slow but has totally lived up to the hype, he is on pace to break some rookie records as well. Colston has come from nowhere, Drew very solid himself. Exciting times for the NFL when there are so much great young players.

I have to go with Young, given the demands of the position. Remember all that talk about Vince's Wunderlik scores? I guess he's smart enough to know when it's time to run.

How Hester, a ****ing kick returner, can be named in a ROTY discussion is absolutely beyond me.

Have you seen him play? He jumpstarted the Bears offense on more than a few occasions this season. Maybe he won't get it, but he deserves serious consideration...

The Broncos could sure use th 6 td's that Hesters has scored this year. That might be the difference between at least two or three wins for the Broncos. I think each of the choices is a very viable candidate for ROY.

It´s all fine and dandy what he´s doing, and I have seen him play, but wouldn´t you expect your second round pick, who´s being mentioned for ROTY, to at least have a position where he regularly contributes to Offense or Defense?

Do you honestly feel a kick returner is more deserving of ROTY honors than a guy like Vince Young, who single handedly transformed a train wreck of a franchise into a franchise with a bright future?

I´m not hating on Hester, but the guy is a second round pick and I expect more from a second round pick than a couple of kick returns. I wouldn´t be happy if we spent a second round pick on a kick returner, even if he turned to be as good as Hester.

I thought the title of this thread was Who is YOUR rookie of the year ?
if it is your , then how can there be a wrong answer as long as your Rookie of the year is a rookie ?

It probably WILL be Young, because we are fixated on rewarding "glamour" positions. However, he's more than just a "****ing kick returner". He's in the history books. That itself merits him being in the ROTY discussion. BTW, Hester is also used as a DB in nickel and dime packages...

Simple question my ass! There are atleast 10 kids deserving of this honor this year! I voted Jones-Drew. Mainly b/c at the beginning of the season Shanny was rumored to be very interested in him and there were TONS of Maners that wrote him off b/c he was "another Q". Seriously though. He's leading the league in TD's by a rookie.

well then i hope your not dissapointed when i tell you D-Will was drafted in the 2nd round last year to be, what do you know, a kick returner. I even remember Shanahan saying he would rarely if ever be used at CB due to his lack of height. Fortunatly for him, Lenny Walls got injured and he came in and took the job (not so good for us b/c his 5'8 height allows opposing receivers to constanty abuse him, but hey, its better than Lenny).

It was between 3 of them really. Vince, Colsten, and Hester. I chose Hester because his returns have been game changing plays when the Bears needed it most.

I have to give it to Hester because he's coming on at the right time, wheras Colston have been a virtual non-factor the last 5 weeks.
