Default Irv and Joe: The move to Cutler caught the veterans by surprise.

Man these guys are whack. It's like they aren't even watching what's going on. How in the world can they have the take that ANYONE was caught by suprise here?

The other think they're saying is that the comeback in the third quarter means nothing whatsoever. It might as well have never even happened.

Dude. Just stop. You're making a complete fool of yourself now. It's painful to see. You're better than this.

Irv Brown, Joe Williams and Terry Bradshaw are "three of football's top analysts?" Excuse me.

Thanks, I needed that.

We're getting our QBOTF some needed experience while our LT gets his knee repaired, the defense regroups and the running game figures out who's running the ball.

We're a team in disarray, not just at quarterback but throughout the roster so, knowing the team would likely be a wild-card loser at best, why not send Jake to the bench at let Jay get some real-time work under center?

Sorry this isn't obvious to everyone but that's what is going on here.

I think it happens about this time of the year. All the holes shanny can mask other teams figure out - the lack of true talent (not saying lack of trying, just that it hasn't worked out) - on the DL/OL has been getting us killed.

now did shanny try - yep - he drafted foster - he got some other young guys in for the OL - but i think he misses sometimes on getting role players to play starting slots.

How am I making a fool out of myself, these guys are the ones who are saying it and they get paid for it. I am merely pointing it out. AGAIN, I FULLY SUPPORT JAY CUTLER AND HOPE NOTHING FOR THE BEST FOR HIM. i WANT TO SEE HIM THRIVE AND BECOME THE SECOND COMING AS WELL. I just didn't agree with the timing.

When it was 28-20, I thought that the defense would be inspired to create turnovers and get this thing back on track. I didn't know that was going to be the last points we scored. In a way, the 3rd quarter comeback really DIDN'T happen...

Iam so tired of that radio tantum it's not even funny, i quit listening to those two blow hards about two years ago based on the the fact they are idiots and they also treat callers like crap (if they don't agree with them). (they need to be red dogged) forever. IMO bring in some new blood.

I think "caught by surprise" is the wrong way to describe it, though i DO think that many vets were likely disappointed by the move as many of them likely viewed it as throwing in the towel.

still, you gotta think even they can see that the kid has tons of ability, and you also gotta think that even those vets knew that the seasons hopes had taken a HUGE beating after the close loss to indy and the failure to hang onto the 24-7 lead against san diego.

im sure there's more than a few in the lockerroom that are disappointed with the move, and im sure there are more than a few who thought their best (and/or only) hope was with plummer, but again, even those guys you would think would ALSO see that maybe cutler getting the reps THIS season will be the difference in his ability to effectively compete and lead NEXT season.

we'l see,

jake

I heard a few minutes of it. All I could stomach. Joe Williams said "the veterans on this team feel as if they had the rug pulled out from under 'em"..

?? F@#k the veterans. they were already comfortably seated on their a$$e$ when the rug was pulled.

Joe is a jackass.

But they have their fingers on the Bronco pulse Taco! Those two are Dumb and Dumber. They aren't really irritating, just stupid.

seems simple enough to me too.

we would be 8-5 right now with plummer and have the inside track on a wildcard, but then what?
VERY doubtful that we would win a game in the postseason, and RIDICULOUSLY doubtful that we could do what pitt did a year ago.
the offense AROUND the qb just isnt that good, and the defense cant pressure a decent offense.

it stinks that plummer (who has pretty much been nothing but good for the team and community and is STILL sticking by his team without a TO like meltdown) is the fall guy, and it stinks that his time here will be scarred with a largely unfair replacement during a 7-4 season, but considering we had already mortgaged the future on cutler, it made alot of sense to get him reps NOW that could be the difference next season.

We'd all better HOPE Cutler pans out...if not, just call us candy on a stick (aka suckers).

Shanny danced the tune like the pied piper, but the rats are skittering...

We we went to the rookie we were...for all intents and purposes throwing in the towel. I can imagine why that would catch some people by surprise.
