Default Is it me or did the whole world Celebrate the return of "cheater" Merriman

So if you smoke 3 doobies your gone for a season...you take steroids and you take a month vacation and they have a parade upon your return!

makes me ashamed to watch the NFL

Your thoughts

Charger fans were spooging all over the place when he did anything at the game yesterday. It was sickening.

Whether you believe the tainted supplement story or not, he does deserve a second chance. Everyone deserves a second chance.

He's one again playing clean and still playing at an elite level. Yeah, I think a lot of people are excited to have a player of his calibre back playing: the NFL, the fans, the media.

There are many on this board that would take Sauerbrun back after watching Ernster punt away his opportunities.

I think Denver can do better than either one of those two.

All of the whining won't change the fact that Merriman is the best young defender in the league and he's on our team. If he was a Donk, none of you would be calling him a cheater. You'd be cheering him to get his next sack.

I'm sorry that it sickens you to lose. I'm sorry that most of you can't accept that we're the better team and be graceful losers. All of the cheating talk doesn't change the scoreboard. Your team got manhandled.

The fans yesterday knew 2 peopl on their team, and he was one of them.

Im sick to my stomach when I hear D MVP and Merriman in the same sentence.

He is a beast, but he tested POSITIVE for steroids - TWICE!!!

If he can go clean next year and play at a high level he will be in the sentence, not this year tho.

He did not test positive twice. You have no clue about the league steroid policy. It's not the same as the league substance abuse policy. The substance abuse policy states that the first positive test will bring a warning. The steroid policy states the first positive test will bring a four game suspension.

And to think I actually rooted for Elway to get a ring because he was a classy hall of famer, while all you guys are rooting against us because you can't stand the fact that we beat your azz. That's pathetic.

Get used to being owned by the Bolts. Not only are we the best team in the league, but we are one of the youngest.

He tested positive ONCE before the season and he hasn't failed a test since then.

O ok, whatever, fact is he tested positive and imo that rules him out of the MVP award.

As to being the best team in the league, your right. But they gotta win it all first to boast that much.

Just curious, what's the league's testing policy for a player who's already tested positive once? Does he face regular testing for the rest of his career?

By the way, in addition to merriman, don't forget that the second best player on the charger's D (castillo), was busted for juicing prior the draft a few years ago. Just wondering if they test him regularly now too. Not trying to start a fight or anything, those guys are crazy good, and if they're doing it clean, then daaaamn.

You're comparing apples and oranges here. We lost - yes, but that doesn't stop folks from wishing the best on LT because he too is a class act. Now, Merriman, he's a douche and that's why folks talk trash and don't like him. I don't ever wish injury on anyone but I wouldn't be too distraught if the next spasm I saw Merriman doing was a seizure... I truly hate the attention whores of modern era football and he's a prime example.

You want to judge the guy based on one positive test, if he did in fact juice, that's cool. But Merriman's a class act, too. You might not like his sack dance and all of that stuff, but his teammates love him. He's a leader and a model teammate. Like many players, he came from a difficult background, and he's worked his ass off his whole life to provide for his family and succeed.

And he's the best young defender in the league. He has as much heart and desire as any player out there. And that's why so many former NFL players have so much respect for him. They see that he wills himself to be great.

it's all good

eventually smucks like Merriman will get found out for the cheaters they are and the reprecussions will follow

look at Bonds, Sosa, Macgwire....it all works out in the end

Merriman will be proven to be a cheater and a fraud eventually, it's just a matter of time till he gets caught again

Learn some class as you suck a lot and clearly are a poor loser. Work on it as you clearly will have plenty of time dealing with being a loser at least from a team stand point and from a fan stand point.

I am sure the Donks will in time get better but you on the other hand......

Time will tell and one thing for sure he has not test dirty during the season and he kicked some serious azz all day and at this rate he could be the best LB in football.
