I am completely addicted. HBO's least promoted show, it might be the one I enjoy the most. The storylines are intricate, and they weave several together at the same time, but the storytelling is so masterful you never feel like you're getting lost. They manage this despite an ensemble cast that features over 40 recurring characters.
One more week left in season four and all indications are they'll voluntarily pull the plug after next season. I'll miss them when they're gone. I realize its not a show for every taste. There is some extremely violent content and the language is hardcore. The stories tend to build rather deliberately as well. I could see some people describing it as slow, but I personally feel like there's a lot of information in every episode. In fact, missing one can put you behind. They run 12 shows a year and they all interconnect in a manner that drives the storylines forward. I sense a lot of thinking went into the overall plan of this show. ![]() |

I was just thinking about my favorite parts of the show,
end of 3rd season- When Omar and Brother Mouzone catch Stringer Bell..... That whole season, when Avon goes away and Stinger tries to take the business legit, Damm that was great. |
