Default Denver rushes for 38 yards.

I'm done.

38 yards rushing shows that they don't respect our passing game.

Salsbury doesn't have a clue,..Jay is just as mobile as Jake and stronger.

Shanahan is biatching about field position.

I saw this a mile away.

They are stopping the run forcing the mistake to beat them. Guess what people Jake can't beat a damn thing. Please for the love of all that is holy get rid of the joke. Cutler can't do any worse. Our D can't stop it all Jake the Fing mistake keeps putting the D in short field situations.

The stat of the game. I don't care about stacking the box, we still have to execute. We have been running the ball against a stacked box for years. That is a B.S. excuse.

No its a BS excuse. The last time we were successful against a stacked box was when we had a QB who was worth a damn. Plummer is not worth a damn.

the QB AND the recievers need to execute. they did not well enough. Ergo, running game shutdown. Offensive line didn't do a great job tonite, mediocre. The backs were making some incorrect cuts that cost them yardage, and slipped twice and what would have been huge gainers. In short, the team sucked. Agreed, Cutler can't hurt, but don't be surprised if he doesn't help, the rest of the team looks like dogs**t...dman

You can thank Nallen for the 38 yards. The Oline is nothing when they are scared to dive at the defenses knees. Nallen should be cut for doing it so stupidly.

Could 10 plus years of the same run scheme and the RBBC be whats killing our ability to run?

You know why they shut us down in the running game? It's simple, they didn't have any respect for the passing game, since Jake can barely complete a 5 to 15 yard pass they cheated up on the line of scrimage. Play the run first, then don't worry much about Jake he can't make a play downfield anyway.

If Jake were a consistent threat to complete a long ball or even in the dink and dunk ball more often, maybe it would open up the running game. I'm glad the Jake era may now be over. Shanny better not jerk us around and start Jake in Seattle.

I think the primary problem is obviously Jake, but I also think our entire offensive philosophy needs to re-evaluated next year. Whether anyone wants to admit it or not, our O-line is flat out to small to block these huge D-lines in the run game and I don't put any of the current back in the class of Davis/Portis or even MA. We don't have an every down workhorse, and this current O-line is not as good as the ones we've had in the past. Foster is gone next year, Nails is almost done, and I'm still not impressed with Carlyle. We need a talent infusion on both lines, a stud runner, and can we please end the Stephen Alexander era at TE and get Scheffler in there? On defense both safeties are almost done and if D-Will doesn't step up next year I think he's headed for the nickel competition with Foxy.

Having said all that...I think the number one problem with the rest of the team is that they're all obviously mired in Jake Plummer's personal funk and very aware that Shanny's switching gears so they're in a state of low moral right now. If the kid can do anything...and I do mean ANYTHING to spark this offense, we may see a revitalization of the rest of the team as well. Whether we do or not...we need to make some major changes for next year accross the board.

The O-Line is not to blame. Jake the mistake can't make a pass. That is it teams want to force him to tap dance and throw erratically. A real quarterback would make a team pay. Jake has become a major mistake this year. The sooner he is sitting down the better the team will be.

ok here it is next years draft- running back, DE, S, O-lineman
and bring back saurbraten and get a return team in here, they are pathetic. i agree about the whole 38 yard thing but didnt anyone find it kind of odd that shanny let plummer throw all of those downs?? i mean we were behind a TD and then we were behind only 3 points. i believe shanny was playing the whole political card here and say hey jake you want to have everyone behind you then show everyone wrong and show them you can pass. and guess what he couldnt. so by jake take a seat and watch what you couldnt do. you dont have kubiak to bounce back on. granted running game is gone and man i never thought i would say it but i miss mike anderson more now then ever

Our passing game is what is killing our running game. It has nothing to do with the size of our offensive line. Plummer flat out can't throw a catchable ball. One of every 10 of his passes is catchable. He has the worst accuracy of any QB I have ever seen. I actually think Kordell Stewart was a more accurate passer than Plummer.

You being way to critical in all the areas you mentioned in this post. We need a leader at QB, one that a defense can respect, one who can make simple short throws and long deep throws. The reason the OL didn't perform and the running game couldn't get going well tonight was because the Chiefs didn't have any respect for the passing game at all.

Jake was no threat to them deep and barely complete the short throws. It's time to quit blaming everybody else on the team for this loss. We held KC to 19 points in their own house. If we had even some average play by a QB in this game maybe we score 20 or 24. I admit we didn't play as well as we could have at OL and on D but the bottom line is we have to have a QB who can make a play once in while, find a way to convert an important 3rd down and not turn the ball over everytime it gets put in his hands.

Actually it was your Oline getting caught intentionally trying to injure on national TV that killed your run game.
What about your run defense 200+ yards?!!? is that Jakes fault too?

They played most of the game with five guys on the line and a loaded box. They dared Jake to throw and as expected he crapped his pants, tossed some ints and then went to the sideline and argued with Shanahan about it.

Everything is Jake's fault. And soon, everything will be Cutler's fault. It's the evolution of the OrangeMane.

At least it will be his fault because he's a rookie and has a lot of learning to do. There's light at the end of that tunnel instead of a brick wall.

Your defense is killing you too. The last 4 games your opponents have been averaging 25.4 points per game against you.

And your 4th ranked rushing defense gave up 230 yards rushing. That's not playoff calibre defense.

Actually Jake tossed 2 interceptions but fortunately for him he was bailed out by the refs.
