Default I need to track down an ex-USAF officer . . .

We have some family troubles right now, and I need to track down an ex-USAF officer that abandoned his wife and kids in 1973.

Anybody have some references that could help me out?

BTW, it's not a retribution thing. I'm just looking for some references that will enable the family to track this guy down to contact him and see if he will help his kids out.

To be quite honest...google is a great place to start. Make sure to search with their name in quotes. If it's a common name you'll want to use the middle inital or middle name. Also try last name, first name Middle initial inside quotes. I found someone using google, too. Also, if you have an idea of location, last four of ss or any other information, you can use that as well.

Sometimes google will lead you to one of those "background check" sites. Do research...some of them are very good. I used one when I wanted to verify the person I found was the real deal. It gave me EXACTLY what I needed.

I know in Airman Magazine there is a people locator at the back of the magazine. Also, you can call the Air Force Personnel Center in Texas if you know the last duty station of the individual, they might be able to help you.
