Default Our Defense will step up in KC

I believe in this defense. I believe what Marty said about our defense being the "Best tackling defense in the NFL." We are lucky to have three consumate overachievers/leaders on our defense in Wilson, Bailey, and Lynch. We need to stop the run in KC. What we need is a big game from Warren. He needs to get pissed and clog up that middle. We need Warren to get psyched and slow down Johnson. If Warren can shutdown some lanes then we can get more tacklers to Johnson.

I expect our defense to come out pissed in KC. I look forward to watching the game.

i think our D will play well also but it will be because cutler will give them a rest during the early 3rd quarter after plummer throws another ball up for grabs during the first drive after the half

I expect warren to get owned by the center of the chiefs OL. But hopefully our LB's can get something going.

You should be. This team usually plays well after a loss like that one!

Sure they will.

They'll stand up tall and get pushed back a few steps by the Chiefs Oline, and then watch Larry Johnson run by for some of his 150 rushing yards.

eh
I'm glad you have confidence...not me

only thing we have going for us is KC is average offensively, so maybe we can hold them in the 20's

problem is, they have a good D and will shut Plummer down probably

Our defense does just fine against second tier teams. It's when we face the elite, first-tier offenses that we implode.

The only real question in my mind is psychological. The combined losses to Indy and SD, together with our remaining schedule, make the playoffs dicey (maybe so, maybe not) and, if we make the playoffs, make any chance of advancing low. The players aren't dumb and they know that. So we're getting close to the "why bother?" point in the season.

My other question in the KC game is whether the O will be able to generate any points at all. KC has a considerably-better-than-average defense and we, to put it bluntly, stink on offense. Jake has obviously decided that he's mailing this year in while he works on his tan and, for this game, like Indy and SD, we need some inspired play. The noise in Arrowhead is just going to make it worse.

KC's offense is an unknown at this point. The running game is almost as good as it was a year ago. The passing game, at times, has been very efficient, and Green's return should provide a boost. I have confidence we can give Green all day against your anemic pass rushers, so I think we'll score in the upper 20's, more if we get some turnovers.

Hey, my first post here, i have strayed from the cozy confines of Mighty ChiefsPlanet. Just cant see your D stepping up too much in Arrowhead, LJ will have another 120-130 like he did last time & we wont be fielding Huard either.

Plummet will lose his job after Thursday and your much anticipated Cutler era will begin. Guy has a lot of potential but i wouldnt expect him to lead a playoff run if i were you.

BTW , i have never seen the Planet invaded after a loss the way you guys are. The bolts have broken thru your wire and are making their way to the command center at a brisk pace...sharpe was right, you had better call out the National Gaurd.

I completely disagree with you. I don't think you will find ANY "why bother" quitters on Denver's team. KC game is going to be tough, but is very winnable. I'd bet on Denver making the playoffs before KC does. The Broncos know how important winning is, they will give it their best. Unfortunately even perfect isn't good enough on the Orange Mane

We can handle the bandwagon fans pretty well, they will be gone when we beat SD and/or they start to suck again.

As far as Crap Planet getting invaded, you guys sure got your panties up in a bunch over the Jets fans that showed up in the offseason. I don't think I've ever seen that many grown men throw temper tantrums at once.

You will notice that they dont come out of hiding anymore, they've been effectively squashed.

As far as tantrums go, this place seems to be in a pretty foul mood at the moment.

You don't have a pass rush, though your LB's are the best tandum in the NFL I believe, make up for it. Your opposite CB of Bailey is a ? IMO, but your front 4 isn't all that great against the run and it showed Sunday night. Dummervil is the best pass rusher you have but isn't an everydown DE. Waters will be back for KC which should greatly help the running game. Trent is back as well is TonyG. This should be a great game but I don't think Shanny can pull it off in Arrowhead though it will be very close like the last couple meetings. KC 23 DEN 20 I really think Cutler should start, alot of times it's an advantage for an opposing team not to have video of the QB (Cutler). Plummer is simply your team's kryptonite.

You bet.

I will come back and post about 10 of these in a row after we deconstruct you guys, its gonna be grand.

Things were far different for us in our first go-round, but we are starting to get some consistency on the O line and Trent has shaken off the rust.

You dont REALLY expect to sweep us do you

The CHIEFS will play their best game of the year Thursday and it will result in a W.

But i will return whichever way it goes.

I hope our special teams step up too, because we cant afford to continue giving teams short fields for easy scoring drives. I think Shanny will mix up the s/t 's and get the right guys out there. Ernster ought to be practicing his punts around the clock til game time.

F you , you little twit.

YOU WERE A FACE MASK PENALTY away from losing to the Raiders in your house, does anyone think the Broncos aren't at least as good as the RAIDERS ? Still would have lost except Raiders qb did his Plummer impression in the last minute ?
