It's amusing that players don't seem to think that a FG try is a live ball.
I'm not positive, but I think the offense can pick up the ball as well. I think it's just as live as a kickoff. |

thats a good point,im not sure if the offense can pick it up or not. But theyd have to have someone with great speed to get there

Make a hell of a trick play. If it's blocked the offense can pick it up I think.
It would be funny to have the kicker pooch it to a gunner. I honestly don't know either. I think it's a completely live ball, not like a punt. I could be wrong tho. I don't think you can advance a blocked punt. I simply don't know about a FG. We need a ruling on the field...I kinda pride myself but this is deep in the rule book. |

FG teams are not set up to prevent a return. there are the kicker, the holder, the snapper and eight big guys blocking. No gunners.
