Default Just a quick question for the Terrell Owens apologists

Since T.O.D. has developed this nasty habit of dropping passes at critical times lately (the 4th & 2 pass against the Giants, the perfectly thrown deep ball that would have sealed the game yesterday), would it be OK for Tony Romo to rip him to the media? I'm just curious because I saw some people act as though it's no big deal that T.O.D has thrown multiple QB's under the bus in the past, so would it be fair for Romo to verbally bury him since he's developed a case of the yips in clutch situations?

I'm going to need to see a clip of Tony Romo's touchdown celebrations before I make a determination. Do they look very cool?

Whoopsie.

I guess Romo should have responded to this like a true professional does......by waving his hands, stomping his feet and violently snapping off his chinstrap. Nothing screams "I'm a team guy" like showing up a teammate after he makes a mistake, right Terrell?

Probably not cool enough to knowingly cost his team 15 yards.

I didnt agree with him throwing his teammates under the bus at all, but a little subtle jab at TO would be ok with me.

I'm thinking either TO or Tuna does not make it to the end of the season.

Sure Romo could throw him under the bus, but its not like this is something new. When he played for San Fran he dropped many huge passes, but unlike owens calling out Garcia, Garcia never called him out. I am sure if someone called him out he wouldnt be able to take it though.

I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation for these crucial dropped passes. Maybe he just nodded off while running his routes.

I'm guessing him and Romo just didn't get enough time to work together in the preseason

Since when did any of these type of guys care one iota about costing their team yardage?

i wouldnt be surprised if his mindset is that it just allows him to get more receving yardage, granted this one was assessed after the TD.

does anybody hear wish that we had gotten TO insteada walker?

This will be the interesting story to follow. Most people agree/assume that Tuna won't be back next year, because this situation isn't making him happy.

I think that there is a good chance that TO might not be. Hell, they both might not be. But I think TO might not be because Jerry Jones isn't stupid. He brought TO in because (I can only assume) the good play on the field outweighs the antics. Well, thus far they haven't. In fact, even the TO apologists in the media have admitted that he has dropped far too many easyily catchable balls for a superstar WR who is supposed to be one of the best.

Let's be honest here. In every sport you have your malcontents, your jerks, etc. What keeps guys like Gary Sheffield, or Ron Artest, or TO on their fields and courts? Talent. When TO starts dropping passes like this, especially with Terry Glenn on the other side outplaying him, he's really hurting himself for next year, either with the Cowboys or a potential other team.

I wouldn't be surprised by Jones admitting a mistake and releasing him. I don't know, maybe the man has an ego, but TO hasn't justified his antics with his play on the field. Not to say that his antics can be justified, but you get my point.

I'll be the first to admit I wanted TO over the summer, and I'm a jackass for it. Although, I don't think anybody knew there was a potential for Walker. But when the TO rumors started floating, I was all for it.

I too thought his performance would have made him tolerable. I was wrong.
