PIT 4, CAR 3 (SO)

Sabourin got the start tonight and looked pretty good in net. Sykora continues to be a very good acquisition for Pittsburgh. Two goals tonight. Crosby with two assists. This is his third straight multi point game so I think he is over any percieved "slump" he was in. I really liked our hitting tonight, alot more physical than we usually are. Very entertaining game.

We take on the Caps tomorrow. Should be a good game.

Excellent game by both goaltenders..Fleury and Brent Johnson...Johnson robbed the Pens several times. Sid with an assist. Staal and Whitney with the goals for Pittsburgh. Pothier for Washington. We are back over .500 now at 4-3 which is nice.

Flower with his first shutout of the season and he was great, he had 36 saves. The Rags carried the play though, they played a really good game, came pretty close a bunch of times. Malkin with the only goal and Crosby with an assist.

Third straight win for PIT, we are now 5-3-0.

Damn! you see talbot go face first into the boards? he got up and skated off but i think he was out for a second or two. (hopw hes ok. Also sid getting his first goal on home ice in 8 games! crashing the net.

Yeah that gave us some momentum and got us back into it.

The officiating is garbage...we havent gotten any calls. Where are the penalties? We have had like 1 pp the whole game.

PIT 4 MIN 2

Easily our best win of the season at Minnesota. Crosby blew up..a goal and three assists. Malkin with 2 goals and an assist also. They have really been explosive the last couple games as they have played together with Ryan Malone on the first line. DO NOT CHANGE UP THIS LINE, THERRIEN!!! Sid and Geno are really benefitting from each other. This line is RAPING! D played pretty well too and Sabourin had a great game in goal.

6-4-1.

At Colorado next.
