Default Anyone follow high school football around Denver?

Im curious about J.K. Mullen high schools team which is i beleive in Denver. I'm assuming Colorado high school football is in the playoffs right now, but correct me if I'm wrong. They have a Qb named Clint Brewster who is the son of TE coach Tim Brewster. He is committed to play for Illinois next season, and sounds like a great prospect. Anyone know how the team is doing, and how Brewster has looked? Any info would be much appreciated.

My Alma Mater. The team is ranked 7th in the western region (cnnsi.com). The stud of the team is Steve Watson (yes, his son). He's like 6'4" 220lbs WR. He dwarfs the DBs and catches everything. I believe he's commited to Michigan. Watched them beat Smokey Hill a few weeks back. They had 49 points by halftime. There is a fast receiver too, which is going to Washington I believe.

I forgot to add that Brewsters younger brother, Nolan, looks to be even a bigger prospect than Clint. Any info on either of these players would be appreciated.

Here is a link to Mullen's statistics: http://stats.rockypreps.com/football...035/2006-2007/

Clint Brewster has completed 70% of his passes, thrown 17 TDs and just 2 picks. I watched on of their games against Cherry Creek (Elway's son is the QB). Mullen is basically unstoppable.

Former Bronco and current Broncos receiver coach Steve Watson's son plays for Mullen as well. He is a Tight End that has comitted to Michigan.

Mullen is unstoppable for one reason only...they are the only private school in Denver that recruits players...they've been doing it for years.

Couldn't be the fact they have the best coach in the state?

This I know. It doesn't hurt having Dave Logan as the coach either. However, they aren't even in the top 10 as far as number of State titles.

Can we really tell if Logan is a great coach? He recruits where ever he goes and the top talent comes to him. Look at that Chatfield that mysteriously gains Lindell White and Alan Webb over the summer...

Once he coaches on a level playing field then I'll believe it.

Good to hear, he sounds like a very good player. Illini fans have been wondering how good he is because ESPN rates him in the top 100 overall prospects, another site has him as a 4 star prospect, and another site has him a lot lower. If anyone else has seen him play, feel free to post a scouting report or comments.
