i'm still on, officially on since end of apr. 2004. I knew he was going to get torched for a few yards when he gaurenteed he would have 2 or 3 picks on manning if he challenged him like he was a reincarnation of darrell green speed, champ coverage and randy moss hands and hops. Any body who fell off will back on soon, unless their still mad at champ for the last time the raiders beat the broncos.

DWill had a bad game against a great offense. I'm not ready to jump ship yet.

He's still a nice young player, with sizeable potential. If the coaching staff didn't have confidence in him he'd be ridin' the pine already...

I still believe in him 100%
I believe he will bounce back, and learn from this to better himself in the future.
It takes a game like this to really show where you can get/do better.
I'll take it now rather then wait until the playoffs and have everything come at you too fast like Roc/Fox and company with good O's.

Neither CB are great. I'd be willing to give Foxy another chance. Peyton and Reggie Wayne ABUSED DW. Why not give foxy a chance... He couldn't do any worse than DW did this past Sunday.

Why couldnt he?
You saw what Cedric Wilson of all people did to him when Ben had the same amount of time Peyton had.

I believe in the guy. We have weak links in our Defense and pretty much everyone knows the lack of pass rush doesn't help.

DWill had a pretty poor game but he was going up against one of the best QB-WR combinations. What he does NOW to pick himself up is most important.

We had a previous high profile CB who went bust when he was down and beaten a few times instead of forgetting about it and moving on.

I think DWill is too confident to let this get to him but he still needs to improve his coverage.

In the Yahoo Sport Section, one of columnist talk about how the Colts set up there offense to ensure that Darrent had one on one coverage with Wayne. The Colts deliberately spilt the TE wide to force the Safeties to cover him(TE) vs provide help over the top for Darrent. While Darrent was instructed not to give up the big play over the top, the underneath stuff was open. So of it was his fault and some of it was real good gameplaning by the Colts.

Here's some perspective:
http://www.profootballweekly.com/PFW...ispers2117.htm
Quote:
Word is Jets rookie CB Drew Coleman has earned a starting position over Justin Miller, a second-round pick in the 2005 draft, because Coleman is more dependable as a tackler and in coverage. We hear the team values Miller as a kick returner, but that may not be enough for him to keep his roster spot in 2007.
Miller was picked right after DWill even though it seemed as if we should have picked up Miller because he was the taller guy.

DWill still is a very solid pickup for us. I believe he'll continue to improve and he definitely needs to because with Champ locking down his side, teams will continue to go after DWill!!

Very few players can cover Reggie Wayne. Dwill had a bad game it happens.

I don't think anyone could have covered what DW was put up against.

I really would be curious to see what Champ could have done in that situation. Especially on that last touchdown.

Champ likes to look at the QB most of the time and DW was simply trying not to get left in the dust. Still, DW wasn't too far away when the ball came in, and if he's looking at the ball instead of the receiver he might have had a chance to swat it. It was more of a timing thing, though, and Peyton threw it perfectly... DW didn't bight on the hook all day until that play, figures...

The play i really don't understand was the 2pt conversion... That just shouldn't happen.. That was huge, and i don't think it's really been talked about at all. I think it's because we assume that Peyton should have his way with this defense no matter what, so look somewhere else for blame.. really this defense never came up big at all... not one play. We stopped them on two third downs but the Colts pretty much stopped themselves.. We were just spectators..

it seemed like on that touchown pass there was some confusion. He was talking to lynch in a hurry cause the colts were lined up and it looked like he thought he had saftey help over top. Thats why he bit on jumping the route. Then after the play he pointed at lynch and appeared pretty frustrated. I really think he got confused and thought he would get help over the top.

This is been discussed better already Here:

http://orangemane.com/BB/showthread.php?t=48750&page=3

Listen to Darrent's interview about not knowing what the hell he was doing on two of three crucial TD's and then trying to say he did not do anything wrong and was not getting beaten all day long. This kid is not a rookie anymore and he should at least know what the terminology for which coverage they are running is and be able to understand the signals.

Here is the interview:

http://www.denverbroncos.com/page.ph...o&year=&month=

When a CB blows coverage in the red Zone, its his fault. When he does not even know what coverage they are playing... Good Lord. I can handle the technical errors he made in that game. What I can not excuse is the mental errors in that type of game. If he stops one of those third down TD's the Broncos might have actually won and made Manning force throws late instead of having all day to get into FG range for the best clutch FG kicker of all time.

Foxworth is terrible. Williams gave up 3 td's, Foxworth would give up 5 td's.
