Default Let This One Go

This was a very tough game. Reading some of these threads makes me think we are overreacting. We played them close and I was proud of our effort. We held them to 6 points in the first half and Indy had a great 2nd half. Compared to the playoff games we kept it close and if Mike does not slip or if we get one play here or there we very easily could have won it. This is one of those rare losses that I come out of very positive. Peyton Manning is a great quarterback. Perhaps 2nd to Elway. Losing this game will help us to beat them in the rematch. Thank god we got a chance to play them once before the playoffs, now we can make even more adjustments. Our offense looked great out there. Now we have to let this one go. Big game next week our division is close. The team cannot have a let down. I am proud to be a Bronco fan.

Go Broncos.

b****ing about a loss is acceptable, in my mind. What makes me scratch my head is b****ing about a close win because it was too close.

It's tough to let this one go because the Broncos have spent the last three offseasons trying to build a defense to stop the Colts.

I couldn't agree more. It just baffles my mind how a team sport seems to be nailed down to individuals as being their "Fault" that we lost. You win as a team, you lose as a team!

This was essentially a 3 game loss. A win and we of assumed #1 seed thru tiebreakers. Now we are two full games back and don't have the breaker.

People can minimize the game all they want, but now the road will have go thru Indy most likely. Or New England.

We should be in the drivers seat with Indy and N.E. facing off next week.

All we can do is take care of business and win the division.

Default This is the equipment manager's fault!

If only they had worn the blue pants.

Right now Pusston Manswallower is sitting at home thinking about how great he is and wearing his championship rings and looking at all the Lombardi Trophies he's led his team to....oh wait.

Look on the bright side, we weren't blown out, yeah we didn't stop them most of the day, but they didn't hang a 40-spot on us either like previous meetings. We were in this game right to the end. It came down to whoever had the ball at the end. That was the Colts. We didn't lose, we just ran out of time

It is tough today at work as all Duh Bear Fans are rubbing it in hard & don't see it for the game it was. We nearly won it with out balls falling into our LB's hands like manna from god. It make me sick to see Urlacker engaged on a block & have a ball fall into his hand off a tip & we have to play a hole game -1 on turnover margin.

I found myself pissed but not angry yesterday, hey guys, remember, only one team EVER has gone unbeaten to the SB (I assume Miami won it, why do I not know that...?).

We are good.

Im still pissed about the game. Will be till next week i suppose.

But this team needs our support, next week will be a tough one vs the Steelers.

They KILLED us on those short throws last year, and the Colts did it to us AGAIN. Coyer has gotta mix something up caz we cant get shredded like that.

I think it is healthy to question the strategies employed by the coaches, and some of the stupid plays, but I'm with you Deus. 5-2 is cool, same spot last year, different Manning!!!

Season opening loss at Miami right and then to the Gints on a last second play.

Both on the road, but the loss yesterday was at home to a team that is far superior to either of those.

If you would have told me that after the first 7 weeks we would be 5-2 with the schedule the way it was I would've been satisfied with that. There is a very real possibility that we can be 6-2 at the halfway point and if you told me that when the schedule came out I'd be ecstatic.

I guess it's all relative to the level of expectation.

Exactly. I was over it once the broncos kicked a field goal to tie with over a minute to play for Paidaton. Better be ready for pittsburgh. laying an egg is like hiccups, every once in while, for no apparent reason, they just happen, let's hope this is the reason for the colts game overall...dman

Very good points. I would add that both losses were games we " could " have won but didnt. We havent been blown out by anyone this year and that is something you can take as a positive.

I agree, we kept this game close. Now it is time for revenge with the Steelers.

Yeah. Jake too. Hey, OUR Lombardi's are getting pretty dusty for us to be criticizing someone else over their lack--I think only Nalen and Smith are still around from those days.

I had thought we would be in contention this year--every year my glasses are orange. But they were bright orange this year. Now I'm pretty sure we don't have the horses to do it.

Maybe in a couple of years when the young'ns have grown up a little. We've had some good drafts. But we need DL help bad and I'm not sure Williams is ever going to be the answer against elite second receivers. He plays scared and our problems have never been against the run of the mill teams. Where we always crash and burn is against the really good ones. No surprise that. But we really don't seem to have made any defensive progress in confronting the elite. The offense, despite its nice performance yesterday against a terrible defense, is still really shaky.

I put a ton of emotion into that game. I'll get over it when my throat does cuz every time I speak I am reminded of that damn Peyton Manning.

I actually feel better about our Super Bowl chances after this loss than I did earlier in the season. The offense finally showed up, which was my biggest worry. It'll be tough to get home-field now, but I still like our chances. Call me crazy, stupid, or whatever, but I still think we can beat these guys in the dome with a better defensive gameplan. If we can only get pressure on the QB, we'll be in good shape.

Why? You weren't yelling IN-COM-PLETE much! Honestly, the fans were awesome - thanks. Simms mentioned twice before the Colts got their first first-down that this was the loudest he has ever heard Invesco.

How long have you watched football? What, 8 years max? My guess is not very long. You should educate yourself and watch more games. Maybe stick to the oven and leave the pigskin to the men.
