pretty good for sure.
The air is definitely thinner, but these guys are proffesional athletes, the home field advantage comes in when the 12th man is screaming and the players are dominating! I love the sign by the visitors lockerroom. When you walk out of it, it says, "Your now a Mile High" ![]() |

Wasn't long ago that we didn't have a Mile High Advantage.........Good to see we have "Quietly" rebuilt a 13 game home streak!
The advantage started with Jake, the team, the 12th man, and Invesco finally loosening up a bit and allowing the 12th man to be the 12th man. A few years ago they use to love to tell us to SIT DOWN and be quite. It wasn't until a radio show on KOA radio (last year) that Shanny said "Broncos fans should be given beers for being roudy not told to sit down!!!!!!" You see there were dozens and dozens of Broncos fans calling into the show who told their stories about being told to sit down for simply standing and cheering in their seats. IT IS THE TRUTH......It use to happen to me and I know it use to happen to you. THERE IS NOTHING IN THE RULE BOOK THAT SAYS YOU CAN'T bang on the ground, scream at the top of your lungs, and stand in your seat! PERIOD. But there was a time you would be scolded and told to sit down, or in some cases I heard on the show removed from your seat. Well I'm happy to say that that is NO LONGER THE CASE!!!!!! Infact I called into the show as "steve" and voiced my frustrations. I didn't call in as OrangeForceOne...I didn't call in as a member of the Orangemane.com...I called in as a frustrated Broncos fan....... What Shanny said IMO was the turning point when security/invesco stopped catering to the wine ane cheese mentality we had going to getting a step closer to bringing back that Mile High Magic. Elevation, cold sure maybe that helps with the advantage but make no mistake............ 77,000 crazy Broncos fans can do more to effect a game than a chilly fall breeze.... I'd love to hear what 7,000 cowbells would sound like! We need more cowbell..... Last edited by Meck77; 10-28-2006 at 10:49 AM.. |

Neither did Shanny....lol That is why he said on the radio "Buy those Broncos fans beers don't kick them out! It worked!"
Props to the Broncos for listening though! I think their Broncos Country campaign has also contributed to the revival of the 12th man! You see ludo the face of the Broncos fans changed a bit after Mile High was torn down. Alot of fans sold their season tix and alot of new faces came in. There were fans who sat next to one another for DECADES and people had to get to know one another again and they now have to deal with the dynamic of different people sitting in scalper seats week after week. I think that revolving door of seats in different sections can be frustrating for some fans being that one week they'll be a "mellow" fan and the next week they'll be a typical omaner painted up jumping up and down stomping his or her feet. This is just my personal opionion of what I have experienced since I returned to the stadium in 2000. I had the opportunity to go to all the final home games at Mile High stadium which was a blessing. That was one amazing season and I can honestly say that after 6 years I think we are closer to that vibe than we were just a few years ago during the Griese era. Boy those were some rough seasons. lol Our only problem now is we are "winning ugly" ![]() |

sometimes winning ugly can steel you insides. easy wins don't teach you how to dig deep.
Hope the 12th man Mile Hi attitude rings this weekend. The boys are gonna need it. |

I understand Meck but Ive never been told to sit down. However, when an opposing fan is sitting in front of me and their team makes a play I yell at them to sit down.
![]() I think its cool now though. We have a couple buddies that sit to our right and a couple that sit right in front of us, then the rest who knows? Its pretty cool though, the fans have been great this year and last. I love when we get the real rowdy guys though who yell at everyone around to get up and yell. I think my vocal chords are 100% now so if I don't have laringitis Monday I will be very upset with myself. |

Meck is crazy like a fox. He understands the dynamics of the stadium experience has changed. He spends god only knows on that traveling sports bar and only put a donation jar in it. If I ever find the tick that had the balls to steal a donation jar I'm getting out the model 12 and wave it in his or her face, click the trigger just to see someone pee their pants.
Remember that ad where Dwayne Wade brings the Escalade filled with a new hoop and balls and tosses the keys to the coach? Well, that's basically what he did for Disco. Or you could say an Albatros. That takes alot of trust. To my knowledge, he's just going on to new challenges. That's all I'll say. I'm sure he has his faults, but dammit, I'm still lookin'. While I'm kissing his ass, I might as well fully say how I was simply amazed how he transformed that damn bus. I figured he would just pull the seats, get a can a Kraylon, spray Go Broncos in Orange and bolt down two kegs on buckets of ice, bolt down two wet sofas found on the curb full of mites and roll on bald tires. Heh... |

Cleveland has an "excessive standing" policy. The fans were calling in the sports show Monday after the loss to complain about it. The Browns' front office told the fans they should take a vote with other fans in their area to determine what "excessive standing" meant in that section.

The Patriots game was even better, the place was unbelievable. You could sense that it would take a miracle for the Broncos to lose that game. I didn't go to the Steeler game, but my brother did, and he said it wasn't like the Patriots game, which is a shame. |

) coming on now. A lot of the players have mentioned lately that they've noticed the crowd more this season. I plan on doing my part today to get noticed. I'm trying to get a "DOOOOOOOM" chant going when Dumervil gets a sack. We'll see how that works out. Spread the word amongst the Mile High Faithful. |
