Default REID investigation for corruption

here is the link. I dont want any Dems to not be noted for their corruption also. Not as bad as Jefferson or even close to Duke. BTW: Reid was turned in by not a republican but by one of his staffers. Ritz Carlton is his home? Good to see him and his party looking out for the little guy. Limo Liberal.

Kudos to the Dems for not backing Jefferson in his reelection. Correct move.

I wonder why the "ethics" committee didn't a have a problem with Reid's land deals since he reported each one as they happened to them?

probably a few members had the same land deals in the past or coming future. You know they arent in congress for the pay. But this one is based on bonuses to staffers.

He also used campaign contributions for personal funds (to pay bonuses for his staffers apparently).

It is SOOO 'on' now... Both parties are digging up dirt at a record pace. At this rate there are going to be like 3 represenatives who HAVEN'T resigned by the time the election rolls around.

Well, one thing is for certain:

The Grand Old Pedophiles have a long, long way to go before they can claim that the Dems are even with them in the corruption/criminality department (no matter how hard they try to distract our attention from their own crimes and scandals and shift the focus onto the party that's been out of power for almost six years.)

It is not a game that you keep score. It is stupid say well you guys have this many scandles but we only have this many.

I am not commenting on the Reid story per say because I don't know enough about it.

I am just saying that you can't ingnore it or excuse just because the republicans have more scandles going than the Dems.

Spider gets this if he sees a Dem doing wrong he calls it. When you see one you say "Well, we are not as bad as the Republicans."

Actually, it's the game Republican lawmakers play, over and over, claiming to be the party of morals and family values.

Yeah, Reid had to go in and amend paperwork he had sent in before about these deals once this story came out. Yeah, he's innocent alright. Funny republicans are associated with pedophiles by such an informed poster, when democrat Studds was having sex(not sending messages) with a 17 year old boy and the other democrats in Congress gave the guy a standing ovation. I'm sure that's excused away of course.

You've been called on this twice now, so either state the truth and facts or remain an idiot.

And you seem to have forgot to mention that the REPUPLICAN controlled Congress named a huge National Marine Sanctuary after him.

I don't think his real estate deals are in question since he disclosed each one as they happened to the "ethics" committee.

I am not trying to get in an arugument when I ask this just trying to get a few facts. Like I said I don't know much about this story.

But what I did hear on the radio, not Rush or anything like that. Just the National a.m. news, isn't what Reid is in trouble in part is that what he disclosed to the committee false?

I thought I heard that but wasn't following to close.

He apparently hired people to make the deals for him, many Congressman do.

What's in question is what he did with some campaign funds, I believe.

I am going to become a independent. It is embarrassing to say your a republican and IMO all the Dems have is "We hate" Bush.

Although I have to admit I am starting to like Joe Biden. He has at least put up plan on how to deal with Iraq. Dividing Iraq up between the three ethnic groups and split the oil money three ways. Not perfect but it might be all we have left at this point.

Never work, the Kurds have no oil (very little anyway) and the Sunnis and s h i t e s won't hand any of their land to them.
That country will be in ongoing sectarian battle for who knows how many years to come.

But the guy who started this thread has a track record for digging for dirt on some Democrat or other in order to deflect attention from the non-stop corruption, scandal, and criminality visited upon us by the GOP over the past six years.

He seems to think that if he can point to some instance of corruption (no matter how comparable) by a Democrat then this somehow mitigates the GOP's record of the past six years and that we no longer have a right to criticize or expect accountability.

He couldn't be more wrong.

Accoridng to Woodward's book the Kurds had Iraq counsil set up with all three parties working pretty good right after we took over Iraq, but when Jay Garner was running the post invasion operation. According to Woodward when Bremmer took over he blew it apart.

I think if each party feels like they will get a equal shake in things could work.

Any way I don't know if Biden's plan would work, but it is worth the try.

No LABF, stay with the thread . DOnt hijack and spin it another way like you blame us "republicans" for doing. Come on LABF stay the course. BTW : Look up the list that tops Duke Cunningham of scandals like his. Seems 5 before him were Democrats. Too bad Kerry didnt huff and puff over those 5.
