OK with all the mess the world finds itself in. What type are you. Do you worry about the future if things get out of hand. Do you think the goverment will help you. Do you think those claiming bad things are about to happen need to smoke more weed and enjoy life....

I'm counting on FEMA. I have already painted the banner I will drape across my roof, so I'm ready to go.

hotrod,

preperation is never a bad thing. You can be prepared without being "amesj523" lol.

For me i applied for my passport (granted if it hit the fan like that will do a ton of good) - but i'm also trying to find away to get a more 'stable' form of liquid currency that i could use - just incase the market/dollar/etc fall pretty bad.

But i don't think you can plan for the unknowable. I think if it's coming we are just going to have to deal. If it's the "worst case scenario and i hear gabriels trumpet" - alot of people world wide will die. It could be me, it could be you. it's sad, but that's how i look at it.

My goal, and my belief is that i'm here to help transition. Not nec. from the apoclypse - but maybe from where we are at - to where we are going.

it's one reason i feel very very deeply that i was homeless. I think i was 'trained' how to 'do without'. No lie. Could be that it was just 'shiatty circumstances' - but then again - it's me. (figure that last sentence out, it's meant to be that way)

I have figured out how to get water from my well without power so thats a plus to living out in the sticks. We have plenty of wild animals. I guess it just depends on what the problem is.

I also have applied for my passport but thats because Im going on vacation after this winter so hopefully the end of the world as we know it waits till I have my fun in the sun

Gotta find me first! Actually I have a bit of bottled water I always keep on hand and whatever's in my pantry.

On one hand I feel like I should have a gun for hunting/self-defense if things get REALLY bad. But on the other hand, I have a 3 year old at home. I would never forgive myself if something happened to him.

I've given this a bit of thought as well, but since you don't know what (if anything) is going to happen, it's awfully hard to prepare for it.

All good points. Never NEVER own a gun IMO without the ability to keep it secure. I have quite the collection and each one is locked up in a gun safe due to my having kids also. When I was first married and had kids I did not have the $ for a safe and kept all my guns elsewhere. Good advice for sure.
