Default Parents name baby ESPN

This poor kid is going to get beat up everyday!

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15168029/?GT1=8618
BILOXI, Miss. - Leann Real promised her husband, an avid sports fan, that if they ever had a son he'd get to pick the name. ESPN Montana Real was born this week at Biloxi Regional Medical Center.

Rusty Real, of D'Iberville, chose ESPN (pronounced Espen) after the sports network and Montana after football legend Joe Montana.

Baby ESPN isn't alone.

Three others were cited in a 2005 report on tivocommunity.com about the network's 25th anniversary. They are Espn Malachi McCall in Pampa, Texas; Espn Curiel in Corpus Christi, Texas; and Espn Blondeel in Michigan.

"We were the talk of the hospital," Rusty Real said. "The nurses kept asking my wife if she was really going to let her husband name him ESPN. She said, 'Oh, yes.'"

Well, I guess it's better than naming him after the Golf channel.

Further proof as to why people should have to have a license to breed.

This is a case where less freedom would probably be better. Over here names have to be approved by the authorities.. which in some cases certainly sucks , but in this case..oh well

Names have to be approved? I'll take a thousand kids named ESPN over something like that!

I'm all for having a unique name for a child, especially when you have a VERY common last name, but where do you draw the line....you have celebs naming there kids names such as Pilot Inspektor

My dad wanted to name me Panama Jack...ok he was only joking.

In 3rd grade we had a girl in my class named Champagne and another named Tequila.

My wife named our first son Laurel. Like Lauren, as in Ralph Lauren perfume, but with an L.

Second son we named Reagan. Its "unique" for her. And its after an American hero. But I can call him Ray. For short. So he wont get beaten up.

I almost forget, in 2nd grade we had a boy named Colt. We could never figure out if it was an ode to the drink or the gun.

Wasn't Reagan the name of the girl in the Exorcist story/movie?
