This will be a great excuse for Walkabout Williams to begin another journey in some far off land to look for the meaning of life.

And who is on television feigning suicide attempts only to have their sleazebucket publicist cover it up for them while his team is trying to prepare to play a game?

I'll bet Parcells wishes it was T.O.D. who was sitting out a suspension.

Yeah. Traveling to a society other than America is so stupid. If BBS and I had our way, anyone caught leaving this great country to see other civilizations with not even half of the ingenuity we have would be put on the terrorist watch list.

Uh, who's playing in the NFL and who is being attacked by doors? I'm sorry but trying to defend this guy is pretty much like turning into a 40 mph wind and trying to relieve yourself.

Sounds pretty similar to your endless screams this offseason that he Broncos just had to bring T.O.D. and his circus to town. That was about as pointless as an ashtray on a motorcycle, too, but that certainly didn't deter you at all.

The T.O.D. defender is calling someone else indefensible.

Uh, my position was one guy would play football and one guy had a real good chance of NOT playing.

Uh, your position has been to defend the actions of T.O.D. because you wanted him to wear a Bronco uniform.

Ricky hurt his team by retiring on them, T.O.D. hurts his teams simply by being himself. Yet you only see fit to criticize one of them. Allrighty then.

Retiring on them??

No, my position was one of those two players could help the Broncos and one wouldn't. And the one that wouldn't help the Broncos had already quit on his team once so he could get high.

Yes, Williams hurt the Dolphins by retiring on them. Have you forgotten how much of their offense he was?

Code:
| 2002 mia | 16 | 383 1853 4.8 16 | 47 363 7.7 1 |
| 2003 mia | 16 | 392 1372 3.5 9 | 50 351 7.0 1
Those were his numbers for the two years he spent in Miami before he retired on them. He carried the ball for them nearly 400 times per season. So yes, he hurt the Dolphins when he retired on them. If your reference was to his suspension, then it's not quite the same impact seeing as he would have been relegated to backup duty behind Ronnie Brown this year anyway.

Besides, you were railing on him before this suspension ever came down, so you've obviously had an axe to grind with him for a while.

Meanwhile, T.O.D. continues to be toxic wherever he goes. He'd be doing his team a favor if he'd get himself busted for reefer.

Give me a heads up when you've got actual evidence of that.

You rail against a guy who gets suspended by the league and defend a guy who gets suspended by his own teams. Nice.

I'll take that as a, "No, I don't have any evidence to support my claim, so I'll just say this instead." If that's the best you've got, go right ahead and run with it.

By the way, Donovan McNabb sure looks like he misses T.O.D., doesn't he?

heheh. T.O.D...

While at the beginning of the offseason this year I would have taken both of these guys, I am so freaking glad the Broncos didn't land either.

I dont see whats wrong with what Ricky did. Is it so hard to beleive he just didn't want to play football? From what i can tell he was a very confused man who had some physcological issues. Whats wrong with doing what he wants to do? think about it he was blessed with alot of talent but mabey he was having second thoughts i mean running backs have the shortest lifespan of any position in the league. Mabey he cares more about doing things he wants to do rather than football or mabey he just needed a break. Jordan tried baseball didn't he? why cant ricky try smokin his reefer?

You havent been paying attention to this board for a while have you? No one cares that Ricky didnt want to play football anymore for whatever reason. The problem was that Ricky wanted to keep his unearned money to do so. And when the Dolphins organization wanted him to pay it back he didnt have the money to do so. Not too mention of when he decided to retire which was right at the beginning of the season when the Dolphins were counting on him to play that season. Its not about Ricky not wanting to play its about how he went about it.
