Default Notre friggin Damned, ridiculous(CFB 9/23 talk)

does any other school besides USC have as much luck. that last play(first of all who throws into triple coverage) but does anybody besides the friggin irish and usc make that pick, the ball as well have started spinning on someones helmet. honestly, does anybody besides ND score three times in less than 5 minutes in that kind of weather. i HATE them. any team that allows 37 points to michigan state in a pouring rain doesnt deserve to be #12. now it will be lauded as a heroic comeback. BS, msu is a 5-6 team and that is what 5-6 teams do, they fold

the clock management was horrendous as well, no hustle and no getting out of bounds, seriously stanton, just throw the ball out of bounds. that is 5-6 football right there. he is not an NFL ready quarterback.

did anybody else think that chuck amato's voice sounded like rocky? i swear to god he was about to start yelling adrian! their QB sure looked small and weird but that was a nice throw. i thot the ball was on the ground tho after the receiver had hit the ground but they never showed a true end zone view.

michigan looked good, tOSU and michigan will be a great matchup. i think michigan has the D to shut down the buckeyes and their offense could do well against tOSU. looking forward to that. plus they have a guy from my HS, DB johnny sears #25, fun to see a guy from my HS out there. ya nervous anthonypacino?

while on the subject of teams i hate, what was up with u$c, flat offense or what? i saw that moody had some big yardage but low scoring affair. i count it as 13-3 plus a garbage time TD. their defense did get after tuitama and that was impressive but what was up with the offense, very unU$C-like

but, in the end, LSU won and that is all that really matters. SEC had a good day(georgia excluded i see them as rebuilding this year and waiting for stafford). oh and a couple names to watch out for, early doucet, 5 star receiver out of HS as a QB, finally putting it together consistenly, had two TD catches and one run along with some catches, also returns kicks. the other name that you will likely see a lot of this year is charles scott, something like 15 carries for 101 yards and two TDs, 4 star freshman, big and physical, yet fast, looking like a healthy alley broussard, those two could wear down defenses big time if alley is healthy. also, our defense has only allowed about 10 points of real scoring. FG against ULL and TD against auburn. no DLine problems, plenty of depth, secondary is proving its greatness and LBs are young and experienced beyond their years. jamarcus russell has looked great thus far with the receivers matching his performance. the OLine has been suspect in run blocking(only allowed 3 sacks tho) but looked to do better against an overmatched tulane dline today. i would love to play auburn again in the national championship. that would be amazing.

I couldn't believe Michigan State let Larry Coker coach the fourth quarter for the Spartans. Only Coker could coach such a poor second half performance. I guess John L. Smith was really still the coach, but you could have fooled me. Louisville fans should thank their lucky stars that Michigan State hired Smith, allowing Bobby Petrino to become head coach.

Drew Stanton had one of the worst second halves I've ever seen from a quarterback. Fumbles, interceptions, incompletions; it was like the ghosts of Chris Rix and Ron Powlus invaded his body.

Arizona is on the right track with Mike Stoops. Their defense played a very gutsy game tonight and a couple of bounces of the ball that went USC's way could have totally changed the game.

Here's a classy thread from a Michigan State message board:

I thought Rush Limbaugh went to a community college.

Despite a real gutsy performance by Notre Dame tonight their defense is atrocious. They are damn lucky they won last night.

neh, it wasnt like they suddenly stepped up their game, more like MSU laid down(only 5 passes in the second half, wtf? even if it was rainy). seriously any defense that allows that many points, especially in that kind of weather, is pathetic. ND totally lost their game plan, only rushing 11 times, in gusty winds and rain, dude if your defense cant stop a team that is only passing, is 17 points down, and it is pouring rain, you suck, plain and simple.

and yes, ND's defense is atrocious last night. i wouldnt call it a gutsy performance, quinn did ok but i think game ball goes to his receivers for the yac TDs they got him, even if they were after missed tackles.

haha it would suck to be a spartan fan, all of ESPN was making fun of them, the in studio crew, the gameday crew, the ABC crew, embarassing
