Drug her for over a mile with a rope tied around her neck?
I wonder how many criminals that are breaking into this country every day are of this type of individual? --------------------------------------------------------- Man accused of dragging woman to her death POSTED: 4:16 p.m. EDT, September 20, 2006 CASTLE ROCK, Colorado (AP) -- A man was arrested in the gruesome dragging death of a woman after a stained and tattered photograph of him was found at the crime scene, police said Wednesday. Jose Luis Rubi-Nava, 36, was arrested Tuesday night on suspicion of murder and jailed without bail. Investigators said they were still trying to identify the victim, who was dragged behind a vehicle with a rope, leaving a trail of blood more than a mile long. ![]() Suspect Jose Luis Rubi-Nava and an unidentified woman appear in this photo found near the gruesome crime scene. Authorities did not say how the photograph ended up near the woman's body, which was discovered Monday in a suburban neighborhood about 20 miles south of Denver. (Watch investigators look for clues along the blood trail -- 1:31) The photo had been released to the public, and Sheriff Dave Weaver said tips from citizens helped lead to the arrest, but he did not elaborate. Weaver offered no possible motive for the killing. The picture shows a couple who appear to be in their 30s, with the man leaning his arm on the woman's shoulder. Investigators did not say whether the woman in the picture was the victim. The sheriff said federal officials placed an immigration hold on Rubi-Nava but did not say whether he was an illegal immigrant. He refused to take questions. Neighbors discovered the woman's body before dawn. Her face was unrecognizable and an orange tow rope was around her neck, said Nancy Foley, who lives nearby. An autopsy indicated the woman died of asphyxiation and head injuries from being dragged. Copyright 2006 The Associated Press. So, we're convicting him of the crime AND assuming he's illegal because of his last name? OK...

The concrete truck driver that we used today said that he was in fact illegal. Case closed.
Can almost blame Bush for this. As well as the Dems. As well as the elected GOP ****s that did nothing about the borders while subhumans like this were sneaking into the country. |

A sad story in my home town which is being overrun by illegals. A 94 year old native american story teller, Esther Martinez, was killed by a drunk Mexican national as she was driving home after receiving a Nation Endowment for the arts Heritage fellowship award in Washington D.C. only one of eleven awarded this year.

I read it. That doesn't change my opinion that you're out of line.

If you read the quote I posted, it's clear that SteveTensi13 is a person who hates others of his own ethnic and/or racial background (as evidenced by his racist comments/generalizations about those groups.) He's sort of like one of those gay republicans who works hard at attacking gays and denying their rights. |

LABF ... I swear, in my opinion your comments are actually racist.
Here's why: Your criticism of Tensi, for his criticism of people who JUST SO HAPPEN to have the same ethnic/national backgroud he has, implies that NO ONE should criticize their own ... which is a clear and distinct corrollary to classic racism. Tensi should be allowed to say whatever he believes about any group, and should not feel the need to candy-coat his opinions about Mexicans, just like I should say whatever I believe to be true about Irish Seattle dwellers, you about liberal Los Angelenos, and Cleveland about his Papua New Guinean aborigine tribespeople ![]() BTW: Legal Mexican-Americans, as a demographic, poll hugely anti-illegal immigration. Think about it. |

My comment didn't "imply" anything of the sort. I didn't suggest that SteveCoulter13 didn't have a "right to criticize his own" - my point was that his remarks were inherently racist insofar as he attributed several negative characteristics to Hispanics as a group simply because they were Hispanics. He didn't criticize people who "just so happened" to be members of his race - he made generalizations (negative ones) about an entire racial/ethnic group on the basis of race/ethnicity. Quote:
How does that work? Quote:
I've been pointing this out around here for years. |

There is a lot of not just disdain but outright hate for illegal Mexicans in Espanola and New Mexico in general. The locals feel Mexicans are taking all the low paying jobs, bringing in drugs by the truck load, over whelming the local hospitals using it like a primary car physician, swamping the schools. In fact everyday I hear about fights between Mexican gangs and local gangs fighting it out in the schools.
It seems everytime I turn around I'm seeing drunk Mexicans killing locals, then they get ferried out of the country by the Mexican consulate and disappear only to reappear with a different identity. |
