It's heatin' up, ain't it? I still have faith in Plummer, I don't believe we should just throw Cutler in there. Hopefully we can get far enough ahead of someone so Cutler can get some reps.

I just never figured jake would fall back so hard. Jay could have used a year learning but I just dont see it happening any more.

I think Phil Simms made an intelligent comment. He said Cutler's not ready to play in the NFL. And Simms knows a thing or two about players not being ready. Take a look at his son.

I'm still with Plummer. What happened to his hand? They showed him wearing a glove during a part of the game.

I'm done with Jake, he's a good guy, I feel for him, but my gut tells me Jay is going to give us a better chance to win. Jake is just to inaccurate, and doesn't have what it takes to lead Denver if we need a passing attack. If denver is behind, and/or we need a 3rd and long, I have absolutely no confidence, and that falls directly on Jake's right arm. I am ready for the cutler era.

This is the same Jake we've always had, with the difference being that other teams have figured him out. We tried to open it up last week and make them pay for stacking the line, but Jake couldn't read the field and ended up throwing interception after interception. This week, we went back to the formula that cut the field in half with Jake only having to make a few reads and then throw the ball away if it isn't there... The result is a very boring offense that struggles to move the chains and doesn't put many points on the board.
This is Jake. It's not going to change. We've gone as far as we can go with him. We're spinning our wheels by putting him in. He's not going to take this team the distance. He doesn't have it in him. It's time to start Jay. |

I want to agree with Taco John, but I remember Elway's first year, and I really like Cutler, but is he as tough as Elway? If I remember right that 1st Elway year was a mediocre year, and this offense is a lot more complex. I see what Taco John is saying, OJT is usually the best way, but I tend to think this years schedule is just to tough for a rookie. I actually want to be wrong, I want Cutler to be great. I'm afraid it's all up to Jake, Shanahan & the good Lord.

If Plummer got his head out of his arse........we wouldn't be having this conversation. I'm pissed that he had made a quarterback controversy out of this situation. Had he be playing like he could, no one would be calling for his arse to be on the bench. We really don't need this right now.
