Default Oh God.... Here we go again

Once again conservatives feel their grasp slipping away so they trot out the God card. Of course everyone knows the downfall of Westen Civilization will be when gay marriages become legal...... Republicans are the most raciest, elitest, bigoted people around.

Conservatives say religion under attack

By JIM KUHNHENN, Associate Press Writer

WASHINGTON - Religious conservative leaders, sensing declining alarm over same-sex marriage, are warning that the debate over homosexuality has prompted attacks on religious freedom.

By expanding the discussion from marriage to religious expression, social conservatives say they will reconnect with religious voters and religious leaders who don't necessarily view same-sex unions as a threat.

"There are a number of pastors that said, 'Look, we don't get involved in politics, I'm not going to get involved in this issue, I just want to preach the gospel,'" said Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council. "When they realize their ability to preach the gospel may very well be at stake, they may reconsider their involvement."

Perkins and others are building a case file of anecdotes where they say religious people have spoken out against gay marriage only to be punished. Perkins specifically cited the decision by Maryland Gov. Robert Ehrlich in June to fire his appointee to the Washington area transit board after the board member referred to homosexuals as "persons of sexual deviancy."

The board member, Robert J. Smith, said he was expressing his personal beliefs as a Roman Catholic.

The subject of religious expression will be the main theme of an Oct. 15 gathering in Boston of conservative religious and political leaders that will be broadcast to churches nationally.

Many social conservatives credit the furor in 2004 over gay marriage for mobilizing voters in key states who voted for President Bush. Since then, however, 16 states have passed initiatives or legislation banning same-sex marriage and several court decisions have upheld those bans.

"As the immediate threat has diminished so has the awareness," Perkins said.

Eight states have ballot initiatives in November to prohibit gay marriage, including some states with closely contested congressional races. Perkins said religious conservative groups planned to use direct mail and the Internet to alert voters about the stands candidates have taken on the marriage issue.

This just in: Democrats have sponsored Osama Bin Laden and his effeminate cave "companion" to secretly enter the U.S. where they have been performing abortions, passing out condoms, and burning American flags.

There's only one way to deal with this outrage!

Bomb Iran!

one sure way to increase acts of homosexual sex would be to reinstitute a draft for invading Iran

Vote republican, or we might get hit again.

BTW, would you still vote for "____________" (fill in the blank with name of Democrat) if you knew he had a black love child?

Gays marrying isn't the worst thing that could happen but I think drawing any line between an invasion of a soveriegn nation and this issue even in jest is foolish. We will not be invading Iran guys. It's not going to happen. Drawing those conclusions when dipomacy is still the route we are taking with Iran is also foolish

And the only reason you say that is because the U.S. can't win. The only way the U.S. could beat Iran is an all out war. With that every Iranian in the U.S. could possibly turn against America.

The only reason Bush says we won't attack Iran is because we really can't.

Horse Sh#! Man I cannot possibily object more to any comment on this blog. I am a member of her majesty's royal United States Air Force and brother after having a front row seat to the air power unleashed during shock and awe I can safely tell you that the US can most certainely defeat Iran in a major theatre war. You yes you Atlas and any other doubters can go to globalsecurity.org and and find out what the Iranian military has to offer. To find out what the American military is capible of one mearly needs to look at a map of US military installations world wide. This is not Iraq we are talikng about. Where revolution had been in the works for decades but never possible. Students are allowed to demostrate in Iran every Thurs. They demonstrate against the US and against the Iyatollas. As in any middle eastern nation all one has to do show the force and the ability to destroy for thier or achieve thier objectives and the support is thiers. Before you even start bringing up the insurgency in Iraq let em tell you as someone who fought the insurgents they are a very very very small minority compared to the entire populace of a nation the size of Iraq. So don't even try to throw leftist CNN stories af lost US servicemen at me. The bottom line is this, a true military action against an enemy of the US military has one outcome= lots of body bags heads faced toward Mecca.

Read my post. I said that the U.S. couldn't beat Iran UNLESS we used all out war. That means ground forces ect.... With 150,000 troops in Iraq and our military stretched thin we can't go to war with Iran.

Plus there are millions of Iranians living in the U.S and I'm sure they wouldn't like the fact that we just declared war on their country.

If the U.S. was capable of winning a war against Iran right now I'm sure Bush would do it. After all he is the "War President". Right??
