So,
I'm driving with my wife yesterday when I get a call from a bud of mine in Maryland. They need someone else in there league right, and he wants me in. I ask when the draft is, and he says 5:30 today. I'm like sure, I'm only in two leagues this year, one more won't hurt. So I log in and make a team, not really paying attention to anything, and call him and let him know that I made the team and I'll see him at 5:30. Well its 5:30 and I log and find that the draft has been going for an hour. He mean't 5:30 eastern, and I'm in central. Also, to my dismay, I found out that I'm in a IDP league. I have no idea how IDP leagues work, so I think I'm screwed. Here's my lineup. This was all computer generated drafting so I think the offense isn't too shoddy but the IDP players are something I have no clue about. I have to get rid of some players still that the stupid auto draft gave me like Vinitari, and D. Branch. M. Bulger WR S. Smith WR C. Chambers RB R. Johnson RB B. Westbrook TE A. Gates BN WR D. Driver RB T. Bell RB C. Benson WR D. Branch QB B. Favre TE B. Troupe RB Mu. Smith WR C. Henry K A. Vinatieri K N. Kaeding Def Seattle Atlanta IDP D. Nickey N. Clements M. Giordano N. Collins A. Rolle E. King B. McFadden |

From my experience LB's are were the money is made in IDP leagues. DB's are usually secondary players (see TE's).
Clements is the #9 DB, Rolle is #29 DB, Collins is 28th DB, Giordano isn't even starting for the Colts, never heard of Nickey, King is the #3 DB for Buffalo, and McFadden is the #3 CB for the Steelers. So you can cut Giordano, King, and McFadden and try to pick up the best LB and DL available (probably Nickey after you find out who he is lol). Not sure what your scoring is though. It will probably be a long season. I would see if LB Eric Barton, LB Takeo Spikes, WLB Ian Gold, MLB Kirck Morrison, WLB Thomas Howard, DE Luis Castillo, MLB Lemar Marshall, DE Adewale Ogunleye, DE James Hall, DT Kevin Williams, MLB Alfred Fincher, and LB Pisa Tinoisamoa are available and try to pick them up. |

I've put waiver requests for Kamerion Wimbley...should be a nice pickup in the merriman/ware mold for the browns. They'll be on the field a lot too.
I've also put in waiver for AJ Hawk, and I'm debating the third. Ian Gold is available, as is Ernie Sims (another rookie on crappy defensive team. LIONS), or Lance Briggs, (underated linebacker) Thanks Rascal. I think most of the people in this league haven't used IDP either. I'm still trying to figure out why we have a Defense and than IDP players. |

Eek brother, I have no experience with those leagues. Try to consult Mediator as I know he's played in those types of leagues before. Good luck!

IDP leauges are a blast. Like Rascal said starting LB's are the way to go. I had Briggs a couple years ago and did fine with him. Donnie Edwards, Ray Lewis, Urlacher types are key to winning. Alot of tackles, add in some picks and sacks and you have some real good players. Auto draft did well for you.
Good luck |
